Jeeves, Are the Stars At Night Big and Bright (Dallas)?

1 night midweek in Dallas. Will be downtown. House of Blues does not have anything on the calendar. Nothing going on at the house that Mark Cuban bought. Recommendations?

I moved out of the Dallas metroplex in 1987. Wow, 30 years ago. That makes me feel my age. The Deep Ellum area had some great blues bars back then. I imagine everything is different nowadays.

Yeah I am going to be about a mile from the Deep Ellum. I was hoping for some music, food, and beer. That could do the trick.

That last burger looks woefully undercooked. Food poisoning on a bun!

You can get away with that if it's freshly ground though, right?

So a coworker I was talking to mentioned Pecan Lodge. He does not like it but says it gets a nice write up.

However, this guy also said the right answer will be to go to the Rangers game (playing Mariners) and buy obscene Texas concession food (The M.V.T. Dog “Most Valuable Tamale” or "Texas Two Step Philly")

Fuck that place. Waited in line for two hours one day only to be told the people in front of us got the last of the brisket. Any other place I've been to like that will tell you when certain meats are running low.
