That was some atrocious marking on Vardy's second goal, even by LOLsenal's standards.

Always.

Why? I have a friend who is fun to go back and forth with who roots for them, which is why I started, but I had a feeling there was more to it.

What's the logic in bringing my man Iheanacho on for a midfielder up a goal?

Great game. Two teams seemingly without a single quality defender between them.

Generally speaking, if I don't like a team, it's because of their fans. When I've gone to soccer bars to watch games, the most condescending fans I've ever met were all Arsenal fans. Liverpool fans are pretty awful too, but Arsenal fans take the cake. And yes, I know not all Arse fans are that way, but I can't say I've had positive experiences with meeting their fans.

I never understood Arsenal hate, but I can see this.

What a fucking game! They actually showed heart and fight. With word before the game that Giroud decided to stay despite looking at a substitute role and getting offers to start at other clubs, it was awesome hearing the crowd singing his song so loud for so long after the game ended. So excited to see how they crush my soul yet again this season.

Keep in mind I'm in year ~4 of this, so I have no real background, but there's just something about them that seems mockable. Not sure if it's Wenger or Cech's dumb head or what, but there's something inherent.

Judging by the last two games, the refs do.

Man U is winning all of the 50/50 balls. Also moving the ball very well. Both teams tackling hard. Very enjoyable.

Why did Chelsea sell Matic to a PL rival again? He's been great.

No wonder Conte was pissed.

Pogba looks more comfortable with Matic providing coverage there so far as well.

Spurs grinding down Newcastle.

Shelvey's stomp on Dele was ridiculous - and maybe 5 feet from the Ref. Followed very quickly by another foul on him that was nearly as nasty.

I am going to treat this as the just Euro thread for 2017/2018.
In yesterday's Classico #845 of the year (or it feels that way), CR's goal was beautiful. He just beat Pique and stuck it. I think Real will run away with the Spanish title this year. As for his Red Card....I am not giving him a PK but also not sure I am giving him a yellow for a dive. But he deserves the red for being dumb and taking off his shirt after the first goal. Also I think they have to give him a suspension for putting his hands on the ref after the card.

He's been given a 5 match ban.

I don't understand why Madrid and Barcelona are playing yet another game against each other (supercup leg #2) but Asenio's goal is Bazilly.

Spurs Signs Guy No One's Ever Heard Of For 24-42 Million Pounds

Davinson Sanchez - apparently a very highly-rated 21 year old central defender. In recent years, Spurs have treated Ajax like a feeder club. Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Ericksen...

But I am very disturbed by Mr. Sanchez' choice of NFL teams.

Wow, apparently Liverpool has rejected £118M for Coutinho. I'm a little bit surprised because that is a huge pile of cash, but then they wouldn't have time to spend it this window. It will be interesting to see this plays out. I thought that they would move him, and surely Coutinho isn't thrilled with it, but then again these guys sign the deals and are happy to do that at the time.

That's crazy, if true. Coutinho is not worth that much. I get why they wouldn't want to sell this late, but that's a lot of money.

Liverpool are very dumb on this. Spurs tried to block Modric from leaving to real, but from the moment it became clear until the moment he left what they had was a sulking player who was not as effective as he had been.

I told Bobby P on Twitter that Pulisic would match up perfectly on the other size from Hazard next year at Chelsea - replacing either Pedro or Willian.
