Starting it early because it's a holiday weekend. Also, Hawaiian Shirt Friday if you want. Go nuts.

One of the things I loved about working in Honolulu is Hawaiian shirts are considered acceptable business attire.

Yeh, a buddy of mine is a VP for a company with dual headquarters' in Oakland and Honolulu. He says that when they have meetings in Hawaii, EVERYBODY is in Hawaiian shirts - but, because they are mostly old white guys, they tuck them in. That seems weird to me (and also to my friend, but he has to conform.)

I should bail, I'm the only one of my group still here, but watching Rick & Morty at work is fun.

Tried to call one of our vendors and all our account reps were "let go early." This was at 1 PM EST.

I'm watching the 30 for 30 on Maurice Clarett/Tressel (hence my comment in the random thread). Chained to my computer for the next couple hours or so though. Just in case.

I'm on vacation next week, and I emailed my colleague a short list of things he might need to address while I'm out. He responded that he could do them, then asked me if I was in town this weekend in case I could handle any support issues that arise. Why did he ask me this? Because he's going out of town this weekend and didn't want to take his laptop with him.

I'm not sure he understands what vacations are.

Word

I'm in Trumbull CT at some random Marriott off the Merritt PKWY

Taking the boy back to Boston for his second year of college and then M'Lady and I will take a few days to explore... wherever depending on what pops up in Boston and whatever is marginally on the way home to MD.

Cheers Swampers

It was beer o'clock for me at 4pm in Laguardia Terminal B (after what seemed like a record-fast trip from midtown - 20 minutes - on a holiday weekend Friday afternoon) then a 3.5 hour flight home. I'll be working off and on all weekend, though.

Man, if you'd given me more notice I could have set up a walking tour of "Mister D's 4 Year Boston Adventure".

Makes me sad when all you guys are off for the weekend I'm still working on a Friday afternoon. Dog is barking and the plumber is doing something that sound like banging two metal pipes together as loudly as possible.

I'm still working if it makes you feel better. Might even work late.

Just got back to the office from a walk. I'll be here another half hour. But I'll be putting in some hours this weekend.

I haven't had a drink all week. The wife and I decided to take a short break from alcohol, after a period of guest-after-guest visiting and lots of social imbibing.

That break ends tonight!

I try like hell to not have beer M-Th for those reasons -- though if I have a midweek drink date or whatever that goes out the window.

I think in Hawaii they’re just called shirts.

This bomber was only 10.5%, but it fucking hit me hard. Glad I didn't finish too fast and open another. Stupid kids sports, I can't sleep in any day. Ever.

I've been enjoying a couple Epic Day DIPA tallies. 10% of fantastic hop/malt balance.

I have a 1.5 and a 3.5 year old, I'm up....but I'm still reaping the benefits of the long afternoon naps.

I have to hang around waiting for a co-worker to finish up a project so I can do my piece after, so I might as well start the West Coast Happy Hour.

I'm there, shortly. Going to buy some dog food now, then crack open the bourbon and/or rye for a Manhattan with the wife. And, if my sister-in-law comes over later, I'll have to get high to deal with that.

Fuck yeah!

In that hazy range between the East Coast and Midwest, so I guess this thread isn't for me. Always an outsider. Whatever. I don't need you guys anyway.

New Belgium Brut IPA poured.

Would enjoy this Pac-12 Championship game so much more if Washington State had won last week. Oh, well. Washington/Utah will have to do. And Pitt/Duquesne basketball on the radio.

Cheers, Swampers.

I may have to break my 'no more football' rule for this one....my Alma Mater vs the School where I worked for 16 years.

I had an epically unproductive day at work today...not from my own doing though. Code checked in by other guys completely broke the system, and it was a complete shit show.

Now for the bike commute home.
