I think Verlander shuts it down today because this series deserves maximum drama, but Game 7 I would bet on the Yankees.

Anyone else put off a bit by the "Kike Hernandez" headlines?

The thought has crossed my mind, but one difference is that Arizona was quite clearly better on run differential and the series really never should have made it to a game 6, let alone 7.

Your Jewish friends would probably appreciate it if the headline writers always remembered to include the accent mark.

I actually got what AB was getting at, sancarlos, was just going for an obtuse joke. I guess it worked?

I like us better tonight than in a hypothetical G7 I think. And I like Astros +195 in the series if I’m just betting.

I think the Yankees really need to jump on Verlander tonight. And I'm not talking about scoring some early runs, I think it is important that the Yankees charge the mound and jump on top of Verlander.

Temperatures in the low 70's tonight and the roof is closed. I just want to remind you that this is the team that all but one of you are rooting for.

This is like watching 2011 Verlander. I doubt I’ll ever see another pitcher deal like that for the Tigers in my lifetime.

Sevy's being kept in 2 batters too long. Was a bad sign when he came out nibbling this inning.

That inning was still salvageable after the McCann AB, I can't think of a single reason not to go to a fresh pen after that.

I was shocked Green was still soft tossing when they first showed him. Should have been up for two batters at that point.

Hell yes, you do. I’d take a 2 out inning against your pen over 3 against Verlander.

Might work out for them but not sure how you take one of the five best pitchers of his generation out when he’s easily got 20 pitches left.

I feel like five is too high a number. Two seems more likely. I guess depending on how you define generations.

Totally would have taken under 0.5 more outs he’d get this season.

I’m including some overlap. Kershaw is a gimme, King Felix easily defensible as #2. Sale is/could be in there. Maybe even Scherzer one day. But I’d fight top 5 to the death.

Kershaw is only one I'd consider clearly above verlander. Felix good to great but I'd put verlander ahead. Others need more to go ahead.
