President used three consecutive tweets to quote this well-respected (and very respectable-looking) commentator.

I don;t know if the world is completely fucked up, but a significant portion of it certainly is.

Trump lawyer 'paid by Ukraine' to arrange White House talks
Shortly after the Ukrainian president returned home, his country's anti-corruption agency stopped its investigation into Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Seems almost too neat.

And Trump responds by saying the corrupt witch hunt is expanding to other countries because they can't find anything in Russia.

In retrospect, it is clear that the country was completely unready for how to deal with a pathologic liar in the oval office.

I think he meant "which hunt?" because he was confusing shady business dealings.

No one's talking about what Trump taking his ball and going home means to the South Koreans, who are probably understandably livid.

The fact that Obama has a Nobel has to be the root of this...whatever it was scheming to try to get support for his case.

I see articles that the official White House Gift Shop website reduced the price on the coin commemorating our President's historic achievement of bringing peace to the Koreas. I went to look, and keep getting a 503 Server Overload error. Trump is such a great President, the White House Gift Shop website can't handle all of the people flocking to buy Trump shit. It's tremendous, like nothing we've ever seen before!

I do not believe in corporal punishment, and as parents, our version of "tough love" is basically, you don;t help around the house, don;t even ask for allowance.

But if my son was as much of a buck-passing, lying weasel as the President, I would have slapped him right across the face.

So....just wondering....what expertise does Kim Kardashian bring to table regarding prison reform (which is what she was supposedly there to talk to Trump about)?

A huge social media presence so Trump can get more Likes, retweets, and whatever Instagram has. Also, paying back Kanye for the kind words. Seriously, you say something nice about Trump and get rewarded. It's that simple.

Apparently Alice Marie Johnson is KK's angle. Never heard of her until yesterday. Syb is probably right and Kanye's bout with MAGA-ism helped get her a meeting.

Don't know if noted civil rights lobbyist Kardashian's work will be rewarded, but Dinesh D'Souza just got a presidential pardon.

And Bob Iger still hasn't apologized to Trump! Now THAT'S the real injustice.

Alice Marie Johnson and Cyntoia Brown are the two cases that KK and Rhianna have been putting forward into the news since October(?)
It made little headlines until this meeting. I don't know what will come of it. Publicity stunt or actually reform.

Like the first Serial podcast, there are so many cases in America that could garner attention but these handpicked ones make the news.

It's A Trade War!
During a call with reporters Thursday morning, Ross said Canada's and Mexico's exemptions were linked to the progress of the NAFTA negotiations, which "are taking longer than we had hoped."

The senior (Canadian Government) source, who has direct knowledge of the talks, said the Canada-U.S. committee met Thursday morning to discuss an appropriate response, describing it as "finding a sweet spot."

They said the challenge is coming up with a response that makes sense and allows Canada to be a "credible country."
