I know we get exposed to a lot of Lions woe around here, but the Vikes are a pretty painful follow, too. Maybe a Detroit fan takes two of the most gut-punch playoff (Championship games!) losses of the last 20 years. Not even counting the Blair Walsh game.

And the fifth missed extra point of the season for the Minny kicker.

Not sure what officials saw calling that a TD. It’ll get overturned but that’s a brutally bad call.

So that pretty much ends the Lions season. Have to run the table to get one of the wild cards most likely. Or get to 10-6 and get really lucky.

The 5-second commercials during game play is not a welcome development either.

Did the Lions sign Andre Drummond for Special Teams? That’s their second blocked kick today.

It's becoming increasingly hard to believe that this KC team is the same one that beat NE and Phi in consecutive weeks.

the stark contrast in the offense from the beginning of the season to now is impressive

but it's still a first-place team and one that's the best in the division. Alex Smith isn't as bad as he's been playing lately and he isn't nearly as good as he was at the beginning of the season. There's a strong possibility it'll balance out -- if the offensive line balances out. They've been brutal.

Also, I think the loss of Chris Conley and (until this week) Albert Wilson was a big deal for the passing game.

I fucking hate the NFL. The defenseless receiver penalty is a sack of crap.

Totally changed football. You just have to destroy that guy and deal with the penalties and fines. Has to be the fear of death if you are going to run routes in front of zone linebackers or into safeties.
