So he wasn't offside. He was behind the ball. What are YOU missing?

Say Messi's on a breakaway. Beats all defenders. But he's got Suarez a step behind him who has also beat the entire defense except the keeper. He can drop it off to Suarez if he wants without worrying about offsides.

i posted the offside rules from fifa..with no commentary.

I misread the quotes in the forum. Thought you were the original one who thought it was offsides but that was Rex. My bad.

I know! I've only seen bobbyp mostly naked once, and he had just exited a not overly warm Pacific Ocean, but maybe AB shared a room with him that weekend and got a better view.

DC United going through an ownership change. Minority owner becoming lead owner by buying out the guy who owns a slice of Swansea and formerly Inter Milan (Erik Thohir). Also talk of getting two DPs with one being Balotelli.

I got selected from season ticket holders to help unfurl the giant flag across the field tomorrow before the game vs MinnU. Stoked that I don't have to stand in line 4 hours to get into the stadium.

The Soccerplex is a great facility but not for a MLS regular season game and not the same day as a youth tournament that will have the other fields and parking packed with folks. Oh and yeah it would be cool to have a soccer tournament with an MLS game as a highlighted event, but the tournament is just going to go on.

No official data was available, but multiple people familiar with the situation said this week that, barring a late surge, final attendance would probably end up between 3,000 and 3,500.
This Navy facility looks pretty nice--hell, it looks better than RFK. Why didn't they push to use it more?

Scheduling problems with Navy Lacrosse and other events (graduation, etc.). MLS not making a decision about the schedule until late put DC behind the 8-ball on options because venues were taken. But another reason is the playing surface is FieldTurf.

Went to the Rapids/Toronto FC game on Saturday, my first MLS experience, had a lot of fun. The kids liked it more than the Avalanche game we went to. I think the lack of TV timeouts helped them hold their attention on the game. Plus they have both played and my youngest is really into soccer, so that helped.

Also didn't hurt that I somehow got invited to a VIP event to try to upsell me on season tickets/multi game packs. Free food and field level seats in the second half, right behind the Rapids' scoring zone. And my sales contact didn't make it back to us before the end of the game so I didn't have to listen to a sales pitch.

I think we'll try to catch another game this year, it's just too bad we can't regularly get their games on a streaming service so the kids would get more interested.

SBI reporting that there are serious talks between DC United and this guy. Report says 50% chance he comes to the DC this summer as he is not happy with Everton.

So excited. Starting a very early college look for Q over the summer (he's got two years left) and will show him Xavier and Earlham on the trip and am planning on an FC Cincinnati game for the trip (easy choice to do that instead of a Reds game...).

Best part is they get a jump on both Nashville and Miami who don't start MLS play until 2020.
