Today's Magic Number is 119 which also happens to be Mike Greenwell's career high in RBI. He got that in 1988 the year he finished second to Jose Canseco in AL MVP voting.

What was up with Alex Cora last night? Porcello leads off the game by beaning Gardner on an 0-2 pitch. So Severino pitches high and tight to Betts the next half frame (Betts hits leadoff). The ump warns both benches. That's standard, umpiring 101 stuff. But then Cora goes loco and gets himself tossed. OK. I guess? Rah rah for the team. However, after Porcello dismantles the Yankees to the tune of an 86 pitch, 1 hit complete game ownage, a reporter asked Cora in the post game presser if there would be any bad blood carrying over between the teams, Cora responds by noting Severino didn't throw a quality start today.
