I never understood why they show commercials of them sitting on a cruise ship while encouraging folks to buy their cars. At least that's the Fucillo commercial that's been burned into my memory.

The Sports Frogs finally pulled even with Middlesex for the Northeast division lead. A full slate this upcoming week begins with a makeup game vs. Dundalk for a rainout last week, followed by a road trip to Altoona, and then finally another series at Middlesex.

The Oats took advantage of some stumbles by Rockford to finally vault into sole possession of first place in the Midwest Division. Like the Frogs, the past week's weather will bring the Oats a full slate of games for the upcoming week—a makeup game vs. Oxnard followed by a couple of road series at Duluth and Shreveport.

NEWS AND NOTES:

- Injury: degenerasian suffered a trained tricep tendon and will likely miss his next 2-3 starts. blundercrush will take his place in the rotation for the interim.

- The Oats have gone through another dry spell with home runs, and amazingly scored 18 runs in their latest game without a single homer.

1.) Having another solid year.
2.) 6 foot 7...guy is a monster
3.) Had to learn where La Vale, MD is....guessing it is tough being an Espinoza when you are from that part of MD (basically WV)

Yeah, that guy is hitting .459 at the halfway point of the season...maybe the biggest outlier I've seen in all the OOTP seasons I've ever simmed. We'll see if he regresses to the mean.

To the last part, the game generates ethnicities based on the overall demographics of the country, but specific hometowns/states are completely random, so you'll get some "atypical" combinations like that.

Last year in one of the updates I wrote "The Sports Frogs are closing in on the Offenders faster than Chris Hansen" but nobody got it (or at least didn't think it was worthy of comment).

With another good week, the Sports Frogs continued to pull ahead of Middlesex for the Northeast Division lead. Coming up on the last week before the All-Star break, they'll have a couple of home series against middle-of-the-pack teams Saint John and Woonsocket.

- Season: 58-31 (1st in Div)
- League Power Ranking: 2nd
- Next Week: vs. Saint John (4 games), vs. Woonsocket (3 games)

The Oats toughed it out through a grueling week to maintain a slim lead over Rockford in the Midwest Division. Coming up they'll have a chance to do some more damage in the division with home series against Duluth and Rockford.
