One of my coworkers going through the same thing. He was on the stand-up meeting for about 30 seconds.

Hope you're on the mend SCK, and I am certainly jealous of the hair.

Thanks for all the good thoughts, boys. I am feeling a bit better, although I can’t see shit out of the affected eye. In a few hours Brian will be arriving from Nevada, and we are going to the Fillmore tonight to see Lucero. (The doc said it is fine if I feel up to it.) I’ll wear a pirate eyepatch and a ball cap.

This is true. I would like to amend my suggestion to include a bottle of single malt (bourbon will do) and a bucket of ice.

You should make a joke about getting a free surgery on your punch card and then laugh really loudly and aggressively for 10 seconds too long.

Sorry for whining like a broken record, here. But, I had another meeting with a specialist today. Scar tissue keeps forming and messing up my eye’s healing process. So, on June 15th, I’m going to have my fourth eye surgery since early March. And, I’m told to expect at least one, if not two additional surgeries on the eye later this year.

I’m soooo fugging tired of surgery, and not seeing crap out of my right eye. It’s been like this for three months now and, damn… but, it’s kind of fun noting the odd looks I get when I wear my pirate eyepatch. Little kids just give a slackjawed stare.

So I have a bad right shoulder, but this is new. I woke up this AM with a little tingling/numbness in my right hand, more the thumb to middle than the ring and pinky. My shoulder has the dead feeling it gets when I throw too much or sleep weird, but I haven't thrown in almost a week. My elbow feels a little nerve-y if that's a term, like there are movements where I get that little electric shock, but not where I'd wince, just notice it. Its not really pain at all, just discomfort and annoyance? Thoughts, non-doctors?

This is what google would lead me to believe, but I would expect to have enough pain somewhere to know if it was a pinched nerve in my neck or shoulder or elbow?

A pinched nerve in the neck (cervical spine) will manifest pain/numbness/tingling anywhere from the neck down to the fingertips. Short of going to get PT you could roll out your back on a foam roller, apply heat (hot tubs are good), stretch, etc... anything to loosen up the muscles in your neck/upper back/ shoulder area to reduce the pinch

Yeah it's the shoulder and it's getting worse. I'm getting a second surgery on mine in August. I've had the exact same thing from time to time over the last decade or so.

Also, there's a chance your cpu chair is either too high or too low.

Stick with the 12-6 deuce. Easier on the arm and more effective. Down back and up. Ball to second. Balance. Fall off the cliff. Push. Finish down. Heel to sky.

MisterD cursed me. Woke up with a lot of pain in my right shoulder. Seemed like the kind of thing that would stop hurting and let me fall back asleep if I shifted. Nope. Kept me up the rest of the night. Still hurting now, hoping it goes away... I tore the labrum in both shoulders in college and had both surgically repaired after years of surgeons not being able to figure out the issue (didn't show on MRIs until recently). I'm 90% sure I re-tore the left one playing wiffle ball about 2 months ago. Felt it happen, pain hasn't decreased at all. Being my left shoulder, I don't think I'm going to bother having it looked at. Only thing that hurts was swinging a bat that day, which I rarely do anyways, and a few weightlifting exercises I had to stop for shoulder pain before muscle tiredness. The right shoulder is a bigger concern.
