So, I haven’t posted much since my eye surgery. Mainly because using my eyes too much causes eyestrain and pain afterwards. So I’ve been focusing on whining to my wife and feeling bad.

But, things are finally improving a little bit. And when I had my one-week postop meeting with the ophthalmologist and asked about the pain, he implied that my best recourse was to quit being a pussy. So, now I’m trying that.

So, being put on hypertension medicine and blood pressure monitor.

Feeling kind of ok with it all. Thought my overall lack of fitness and my diet would've produced a worse result..

I was put on Tenuretic 50 a little over a year ago. Within a few weeks of taking it as prescribed, my BP fell within "healthy-ish" range. I felt a lot better too.

I had a growth come out of the side of my face a couple months ago. GF finally convinced me to go to dermatologist. They shaved it off and sent to the lab and lo and behold, squamous cell carcinoma. I had the Mohs surgery today which was really cool. 10 minutes tops, surgeon and assistants were fucking awesome, didn't feel a thing, lab result came back clean 15 minutes later, out the door immediately.

Still though...cancer growing out of my face. Ugh.

My dad has had that done on his nose like 3x. Of course, he's been golfing in south Florida for the past 40 years.

Noticed recently that feet are no longer perfect little reflections of each other due to a bump on the top of my left foot. Finally googled “hard bump top of foot” and I guess it’s a bone spur? Doesn’t hurt, could be in a worse spot. Weird.

So, hands up, who wants to read about surgery to repair a retinal detachment? Everybody? OK. There are three primary options for the surgery: Laser cauterization, or put a scleral buckle on the eye, or do a vitrectomy. But, for my situation (a second tear in three weeks, a third one, overall), the surgeon opted yesterday to put me under and do all three!

And, this is what I look like, now! (Please pardon the hair - I just woke up from a nap.)
