Damn good, especially for a 17 year old! We took a short road trip yesterday and he managed the playlist. We had Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Dire Straits, and a lot of Dave Brubeck. I think I’ll keep him, even if he did throw Despacito in there.

Any kid who likes Queen and Dire Straits is a winner in my book.

I'm surprised at how closely my 17 year old's tastes are to mine, at least as far as punk-ish stuff goes. She loves The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, Joy Division, Rancid, and NOFX. I've even grown quite fond of her favorite band, The Ataris. I was pleasantly surprised last year when she asked me to go with her to see them in concert, rather than any of her friends...

So, I suppose there is hope for the younger generation. :)
