i get that. i might feel closer to that sentiment if i lived there..

but i've always hated the bruins more than any other team, even before i moved here. and i used to love the Leafs (that had to change when they returned to our conference/division in what, '99?).

as i mentioned to some friends last night - i hate the bruins so much they made me turn away from having been a diehard red sox fan for 35 years. :D

Remember this. At the end of the 2nd period, it was 2-1 Ottawa. With a couple of minutes to go in the 2nd, Subban, who was already having a terrible game and had been an asshole all night, lost control and started screaming at Pacioretty. Then Andrei Markov, an assistant captain, tried to get Subban to knock it off. Subban told him to "shut the fuck up", pushed him away and kept yelling.

The HNIC guys, during the 2nd intermission, all agreed that the Habs have to get that under control in the locker room RIGHT NOW or they were going to self-destruct. Clearly, they failed to get Subban under control. Subban came out in 3rd and had the worst, most useless, most destructive to a team, period you'll ever see a player have. So what happened during intermission? My bet is that Subban didn't relent, got even more pissed off, wouldn't listen to anyone, believed he was right and everyone else was wrong, and crushed any cohesion that team had.

Down 2-1 on the road in a playoff series that is tied 1-1 ain't necessarily a bad place to be. Then? Ottawa scores a minute into the 3rd on a ridiculous Habs breakdown. After seven-minutes in the 3rd the game has gone from 2-1 to 5-1 and the Habs have stopped even talking to each other.

Yes, it is a team game, sure. But last night showed you exactly how one selfish and incompetent player can fuck up the program for an entire team. If the league suspends Subban (they likely won't), it would be the best possible outcome for the Habs. They really need to get that moron out of the line-up.

Scottie, Subban says he can't hear you. Because, he has a Norris trophy stuck in his ear. :^)
