Not planned exactly...but something they were aware of...

The ball boy who helped Reds complete a Champions League miracle
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been hailed as a genius for the quick corner kick that led to Liverpool’s fourth and deciding goal last night. Yet to begin to understand the pursuit of impossible it is best to start with the instructions and the even spread of information.

Liverpool’s match analysts had noticed last week in the Camp Nou how Barcelona’s players moaned and became distracted whenever a free-kick or a throw-in was awarded against them, even if the decision was blatantly the correct one. This made Jurgen Klopp recognise the possibilities. And so, he filtered a message through the club. It proves that he certainly had not given up – that Liverpool’s recovery was not purely borne out of adrenaline and special oils. His belief was not blind. It translated into plans and schemes.

Watching that goal again - and it is still incredible the 10th time - you can see ter Steghen clapping encouragement at the defenders and it looked like he was calling out to them telling them to get in position. Going forward, it would be a very dense Manager who didn't tell his team to get in position immediately on corners in the future.

Where does it land on the right-way scale? Legal but bullshitty like a quick pitch or totally legit?

I'm fidgety and vaguely optimistic.

Which means that Ajax are as good as through.

My daughter and I were freaking out so badly that the dog jumped on us to make sure we were okay.

I spent 40 minutes unable to sit and then that goal.

I can;t fucking believe it. Spurs were so much better in the 2nd half, but to score at 5:00 of extra time?!

I was IMing with a Spurs fan at work and I assume slightly ahead of his stream. Very weird to know someone is about to see the goal of his life before he sees it.

Fantastic. My son has become a big Liverpool fan over the past couple years, so he went through that yesterday.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

I am clearly not a neutral, but this year's Champions League has been insane. Coming on the heels of an epic World Cup, what a year for Soccer.

So between CL and PL, in the last 5 days there have been 4 potential title altering goals in the 70th minute or later?
