God help me, I love the Bills +10.

I saw enough of Rodgers last week to know that he can't take too many more hits.

I really don't understand why people seem to prefer the Rams' modern blue and white look over this Chuck Knox era uniform. Especially when playing at home in California.

I love watching West Coast games, both football and postseason baseball, in the autumn while I’m here evening on the East Coast. The setting California sun makes everything look so picturesque.

Those Eric Dickerson era Rams unis look great too.

The Rams just did shots with the football as a TD celebration.

When I was a young kid, I got a copy of the Super Bowl XV game program, which had a big section on the previous Super Bowl, which was Steelers-Rams in Pasadena. I'm not exaggerating when I say that it was one of the things that drew me to football. The pictures from the first half of that game are incredible. Just look at this shit!

yeah I've always loved the early season primetime games on the west coast that are still being played in the twilight in the second half.

This game is bonkers. Defense is optional tonight!

I had a choice of starting the Vikings or Rams D tonight...I went Rams.

I left Goff on the bench in two of my leagues.

Not that I don;t believe in him (he is definitely the real deal), but I also have Mahomes in one draft and started Ryan over him in the other.

Only because the Vikings allegedly have a defense.

And the Rams will have the NFC West clinched in like 6 or 7 weeks.

That seems like 6 or 7 weeks too far away.

Pretty stoked that I started Goff in my money league and Cousins in my Swamp league.

I dropped Trubisky so I could pick up Andy Dalton.

Carl Lawson got a sack on Matt Ryan and basically decided to hold church after it with the amount of praising God he did.

The NFL may have bungled its attempt to be political, and it may be killing people slowly, but at least it's figured out how to do overtime.

The best things about the modern NFL overtime format:

1) more ties
2) new ways for the Colts to bollocks things up

Ronde Barber just now wrote:"With an opponent who runs as hard as Marshawn Lynch, the last thing you want to do is get him pissed off."
Didn't know you could say that on teevee.

When your record is 1-2 and you are playing at New England next week, I agree with the "win or lose" approach. I don't think they should have settled for a tie and a 1-2-1 record going into a road game where they'll be heavy underdogs.

But all the South teams have to play NE. Also 1-2-1 stays 1 game ahead of 0-3-1 Houston. Now they are both 1-3.

Jacksonville and Tennessee are both 3-1 though. In Jacksonville’s case they already played and beat New England. I really don’t see any upside in settling for 1-2-1. You don’t get anything for finishing 3rd in your division.

The Browns are still the Browns. Had a two touchdown lead over the Raiders, before they realized that fumbling in the shadow of their own goal is something they could do twice in the second half.

Edit:

Oh shit. He flips off the Seattle sideline on his way out. That front office must be over the moon this happened to him.

Nevermind. Beathard recovered.

Am I crazy to think that while the Browns aren’t a good team, they’re at least a good bad team?

They are better than the Raiders. They'll win if they quit giving up bad turnovers.

That's almost giving up though. 12 games left still playing both the Jags and Titans twice.

I think the refs cost the Browns that game. They overruled the spot on the ball to take away the first down that would have sealed the game for the Browns. I thought (and the broadcasters including Gene Steratore all thought) they would keep the original spot that gave the Browns the first down. I think they fucked up.

I was in a bar with 100 Toronto Browns Backers. There was almost a riot - one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Blandino - the rules expert - looked legitimately stunned.

I was listening to the raiders radio broadcast (what I could get on tunein and I have Hyde in ff), and even they were stunned. They both were like “I’m not gonna complain, but I don’t see that...”

I think that sports should just go ahead and admit that they’re using a de novo standard of review for video replay. Because while I do think Hyde was down short of the first down the call on the field wasn’t egregiously wrong. Also, I don’t see anything wrong with officially doing away with the higher standard to overturn. There’s just no way that an official can see a play live as accurately as it can be seen with slo-mo reviews from multiple angles.

The "in the grasp" call earlier in the game bothers me more. And they should have gone for it on 4th there even after the spot was wrong.
