Saquon is eerily reminiscent of Barry Sanders in his pinball bouncing running action.

Having said that, Eli pulling a Vontae Davis during halftime wouldn’t particularly surprise me.

The Giants should put in Lauletta and see what they've got.

Whenever I hear that name, I can only think about Jack LaLanne. And Mark Loretta.

What a great sandwich. Though I had on the FL gulf coast last year that was literally the spiciest thing I've ever tasted. Would have been better with more of the mayo spread so it wasn't complete fire. The place is called Goat Lips Brewing, so I guess they liked it almost inedible.

I think muffaletta is the only reason I really wish I didn't hate olives.

Thirded. Though honestly, it's really just an Italian hoagie/hero on a different kind of bread and with the olive tapenade. Not exactly earth-shattering. You can basically order the same thing in any city in America without the olive tapenade if you don't mind getting it on a hoagie roll instead. If I'm in New Orleans I'd rather have a po' boy on Leidenheimer bread any day of the week anyway.

There is a great little New Orleans-style restaurant/dive bar right next to the SAP Center in San Jose. Excellent place to get a spicy muffuletta sandwich and a nice draft craft beer before a Sharks game. I think Sabo went there with me once years ago, but IIRC, I think we just drank beer.

If the Bills don't cut Peterman tomorrow, there may be riots in Buffalo.

It was nice of the Chicago coach to give the field goal team a little time to settle themselves.

My league is pretty QB dependent, 6 pts per TD, but significant loss of points for INTs and Pick-Sixes. For example, Matt Ryan’s 354, 3 TDs plus 13 rushing yards today is worth 36 pts.

Nathan Peterman has scored Negative 9 points so far this year.

In one of my pools, Mariotta scored -15 yesterday. (He wasn't a starter)

I feel like every week should just be a discussion of Mahomes.

NFL game/clock management is so bad. Steelers kick a field goal that actually decreases their chance of winning but Bengals hurry up and score to make sure they have plenty of time left for their final drive.

While it's mostly Mahomes, I bet that's part of the reason TB wants to spend every week discussing Mahomes.

I was screaming at the TV when the Bengals snapped the ball at the 11 with 1:24 on the clock and 17 on the play clock, but it didn't do any good.

Mahomes is more interesting to me than re-runs of the same thing. At least that was a football game, rather than the usual personal foul carnage. It was close, almost pulled it out. Maybe next millenia.

I really enjoyed how the play calling once they got close to field goal range made it seem like kicking a 50-ish yard field goal was a chip shot. Over seven yards a play in the game and yet the Bears opted to run between the tackles three times to settle for a 53-yarder with a kicker whose career long is 54.

How about the skullfuckery at the end of the half? After the replay on JuJu's crazy catch at the goal line, the Steelers have the ball at the half-yard line with 1:15 to go in the half. They walk up to the line and snap the ball immediately leaving 38 seconds on the game clock, and leaving Cincy 1:13 and 3 TO's. Of course they come right down and score a TD.

Or Tomlin challenging a spot on his own 20 in the 1st quarter.

Yup, and then not challenging the Connor non-TD call.

I'm honestly not sure how a Chiefs fan can be mad about last night. Everyone knew the defense was bad heading into the game. If Arizona will take a second and a fourth or something for Patrick Peterson they should do it in a heartbeat.

ETA: Chiefs corners haven't been the problem either. But Peterson + the return of Berry sometime soon makes this defense less bad. And Justin Houston/Eric Murray/Armani Watts were all out last night too.

There have been rumours of the Pats trading for Buccanon or Reddick, though I think Reddick has gotten back into the rotation.

AZ should just have a fire sale and accrue a shitload of picks.

Someone said during the broadcast that the Chiefs were down 4 safeties. Unreal.

If those players come back and the Chiefs get the defence up to "decent" level, they will be unstoppable.

A question I've heard, should the Chiefs have tried an onside kick?
Giving the ball to Brady with 3 minutes left anywhere on the field is the same.

Derek Carr took checkdowns to a whole new level yesterday. Gotta imagine he's gone next year as the Raiders go full rebuild. Probably never gonna recover from the leg injury, mentally more than anything.

I don't see how they can cut him with all of the money he's due. I'm guessing he'll get at least 2019 to figure it out since that's a lost year anyway before they move to Las Vegas, but even then the cap repercussions from cutting him with all of that money due is going to be unworldly.
