So a co-worked of mine is going to be interviewed by Henry Rollins. He did not know anything about him.
I believe they are going to be talking about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cogswell_Society" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

I am about 97% certain I saw the girl who stars in Wendy's current advertising campaign standing outside a hotel yesterday as I was driving home (stopped at a light, to be accurate).

I think thread is more appropriate for flossing, and not brushing.

Howard I'd thought you'd be one to get the reference. Now I'm pissed.

Cogswell was Mr. Spacely's competitor. Missed it. Now two of us are pissed.

Saw Joey Harrington and his wife in a sushi joint couple weeks back.

Also, here's the bartender at one of my regular (non-divey) spots:

Good thing you don't drive since Ndamukong Suh is on the roads out there.

With the way he wrecked last time I wouldn't even say pedestrians are safe.

May have to go back to Manhattans. Been drinking my bourbon neat for the past couple years, but I rally enjoy a good Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.

There is a local distillery that makes a fantastic Maryland style rye, that historically would have in Manhattan's and tastes so friggin fantastic.

Manhattans are great, but almost too sweet. Neat bourbon is a wee bit too strong. What's a nice middle?

Bourbon on the rocks? With a splash of water?

And if you pour your bourbon drinks like I do, adding a splash of ginger ale is the way to go.

Assuming that is, that you don't drink good bourbon this way. Good bourbon needs no ginger ale.

But cheap bourbon with some ginger is def my go-to drink.

Had dinner at a local Italian joint a couple of weeks ago and ended up sitting at a table next to Rick Dale from American Restoration and his wife. I actually recognized his wife first (thanks to her huge boobs).

Good bourbon is the way to go, but a splash of ginger ale does sound nice. Despite my priggish comments, I do prefer a splash of water in some brands of scotch. It releases the flavors. Some scotch is just too concentrated to taste the subtle flavors without a slight splash.

It would appear that she's had some American Restoration done on that rack.

So, I'm in a low-traffic part of the gate area of SFO, waiting to board my flight to Detroit. A couple folks come over to the big, pudgy guy sitting near me and ask for a photo with him, which he does graciously. I never would have recognized him as a pro athlete. But, it's Matthew Stafford, QB of the Lions.

Eta: on second look he isn't pudgy at all - he's pretty cut. Just has a pudgy face.

Had a brief chat with Diego Valeri in the park last weekend. The next day he netted a goal and an assist. Coincidence?

Since you're a hockey fan and it's vaguely relevant, here's Stafford's girlfriend's tweet after the NBC announcers praised Howard immediately after the hockey game tonight.

There's a Senior PBA Tournament at my bowling alley this week and met Walter Ray Williams last night. Probably the only person to arguably be the best of all-time at two different sports -- bowling and horseshoes.
