I just looked up that concert list and color me surprised that Don McLean was still alive. Could’ve sworn he showed up in The Thread.

Don McLean has one life and one song and he’s milking them both for all he can. Good for him.

I think I found The Destroyers and the road crew in the bus lane at a local elementary school this AM (good tune but that’s not Thorogood on the radio, sorry).

https://photos.app.goo.gl/zqDbFhdGoHum9y9n6

All the years we’ve been coming down here we’ve never seen a show there. Literal pier jutting out over the ocean (depending on the tide). We talked about seeing The Wailers on Thursday night but I think our friends did a shitty job looking for tickets and only found really expensive ones.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

If you guys watch with your ladies Bravo shows, you might know Shepp from Southern Charms. He was at the rooftop bar of our hotel, and my sister-in-law was shooting the breeze with him for a few minutes. As he walked away, he said to his friend “that was weird”, and then apparently didn’t tip any of the staff. So fuck that guy.

Well, considering he’s currently a broadcaster, and was a former coach and exec for Tampa Bay, I’d tend to doubt that.

If I can figure out a non-full social media way to post pictures I'll send a few. Long story short, his wife has cut my hair for years now and we've become pretty good friends (his wife and my family). We've met Phil a few times and were invited to the house for Phil's day with the cup for the second of the last two celebrations. There's a cool framed photo of him from a Bruins game hanging on the wall. Just under it on the wall is a photo of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig fishing together. The Tampa Bay Lightning colored golf cart is charging up now. I'll definitely post a photo of me on it tomorrow on my Insta tomorrow. @macgivens77 if you don't follow already.

very cool! will def search you on insta...

somewhere i have a Boston Herald from the day after Espo's number was (finally) retired by the Bruins (1987 or 88) and Bourque took his #7 off to reveal #77. Even as a charter Bruins-hater from age ~5 i had to admit that was pretty fkng awesome - great surprise for Phil, he seemed quite humbled. :)

No. He was there supporting his running trainer who just finished the Iron Man and had an event for her charity. She is less than 5 feet tall, so seeing those two together was interesting.

This year's Rockerfeller Center Christmas tree is in my parent's neighborhood. I drove past it every day for 15 years, never thought it would amount to much.

maybe this applies here, although it's probably 2nd degree, i.e. brushes with brushes...

just on a work meeting and the team leader just casually drops that so and so won't be here today as he is at his son's football game. Everyone (or maybe just I) kind of assumed it was some high school game and she says "oh no, he plays for the Denver Broncos" :D (last name Fleming)

I was. Would have reached out, but I had no free time in this trip. Got in late Wednesday, work dinner Thursday and Seattle office holiday party Friday after work. Our Seattle office just moved into a new building (Rainer Square) and it’s incredible! I’ll be back in the summer.
