I think I mentioned we got together in another thread. Honestly can’t remember which one now though. Might have been the midterm election thread since it was Election Night.

Just met Sammy Hagar at Cabo Wabo. So that happened. Place was dead and he walked in with a bunch of other 70-year-olds which was kind of awesome in and of itself.

OK, so before I forget. Me and my father-in-law were drinking at Cabo Wabo while our wives were out shopping and in rolls Sammy Hagar with an entourage of about 10 people, but delightfully they were all roughly the same age as him and looked it (early 70s to mid 70s). Sammy himself is 71 but actually looks younger though he's putting on a little weight around the middle. Though I can't throw stones at that glass house.

As it happened they ended up sitting at the table a few feet away from us, but at first no one went over there and bothered him or acknowledged him at all. In fact, we weren't 100 percent sure it was him because he was wearing sunglasses, but that hair is pretty distinctive. The clincher for us that it was him was the fact that an extra security guard ended up stationed at the entrance right behind us and we Googled a picture of his wife and the woman sitting next to him was a dead ringer.

So we weren't gonna bother him just like I don't bother almost anyone else I've bumped into anywhere, but eventually some other patrons come up and ask for pictures together or whatever, but where the story gets weird is that one of the guys sitting at the table with him is standing by us as all this is going on and we're just like "so this must happen a lot, huh?" and the guy starts trying to fuck with us by insisting that really not Sammy Hagar, but in fact is just a guy who looks like him whose real name is...Bill Murray. He says they were in Saint Louis one time and "Bill Murray" gets confused for Sammy Hagar and they ended up in the VIP section of some bar and man was it ever a real hoot, etc., etc.

So we were pretty wasted by this point and really weren't sure what was what, but before we left went to the bathroom and noticed a photo in there of Sammy and some other people from some event and one of the people in the photo was the very guy who was talking to us who said it wasn't Sammy Hagar so....long story short it was Sammy Hagar.

Seemed like a really nice dude though.

Buddy of mine from soccer and lacrosse in high school just posted a picture from the Superbowl. He is sitting with Shaq (just sold part of his company to Kobe Bryant).

So just learned that my Gartner rep's hobby is America Ninja Warrior. He is part of a group that just trains for this stuff. Made the show one year (2016) and got 2 runs that season. Apparently did not get his name picked in the lottery last weekend.

So just looking at my FB feed and see a picture of my buddy, his toddler son and wife with some guy and my buddy is holding a gold soccer ball trophy. The person I don't immediately recognize does not have shoes on...just socks. Looks like they are at this guys house on his porch....then I realize the location of the picture...Mardid Spain...and then I realize the person I don't know is Luka Modric.

Wouldn’t bet my life on it but 90 percent sure Mike Schur is on my flight from Vegas to LAX (yes, he is in First).

Just yell "can you believe what Trump said???" and you'll know.
