That article was outstanding. Pelosi is festering dogshit.
And America sucks specifically because if other nations look at us and go "That's left wing? For real?" We have a fucked up culture.
Don’t worry, guys. Pelosi is on it with the bulletproof solution of “thoughts and prayers.”
I get the feeling that we are watching the death throes of a generation of Democrats. Sadly, this didn't happen 4 years ago or so.
Yeah, I think that in multiple respects having someone as bad as Trump as President has dramatically illustrated the shortcomings of Pelosi’s generation of Democrats. Pelosi is enraged by AOC because the entire idea of politics as a moral pursuit, as opposed to a transactional one, is completely foreign to her. Pelosi has also always viewed her role as restraining the Democratic party’s more aggressive elements. That’s why Pelosi will NEVER initiate impeachment proceedings, regardless of the composition of the Senate and regardless of what Trump does. By definition, impeachment is a maximalist position for the House to take. And for that reason, even if impeachment is completely justified, or even morally compelled, Pelosi will not do it. Because her entire political worldview is that if the Democrats ever take maximalist positions, the ghost of Ronald Reagan will resurrect himself and smite them all down.
I have a feeling that if somehow 1980 Reagan were facing 2018 Trump in the upcoming primaries, Trump would win.
(Granted, without 1980 reagan there wouldn;t be 2018 Trump, but what do you guys think?)

Acosta is stepping down.
But him and everyone involved needs to burn.
Absolutely. Based on all that I’ve read, this is likely a broad conspiracy. Hopefully prosecutors and investigative journalists keep digging even with Acosta out and Epstein arrested.
I was called "intolerant" in a Facebook thread yesterday with some randos I went to high school with because I defriended a bunch of people years ago who defended family separation and the Trump concentration camps.
I had to really sit down and think for a bit to make sure I'm not the crazy one, but I don't think I am. First of all, social media isn't life -- I can be friends with whoever I want to be friends with and second of all, why would you want to be friends (IRL or online) with someone who thinks that way. Life's too short. But for awhile I was wondering if my brain was broken.
You are the righteous one here, Brian. If a person defends putting kids in cages, fuck them. I wouldn't want to be friends with a person like that in any capacity, and in fact, I think a person who does that should be routinely castigated. I probably have a different view of friends than most, but people like that need to simply get fucked.
My avatar corresponds on my place in the Swamp posting list with the all-time Home Run list. Number 45 is Paul Konerko with 439.
There's always going to be people whose full personalities are shaped by bigotry and are obvious garbage, but for all the other "regular person" Trump cheerleaders, the bottom falls out when there are ramifications beyond the debate. Counting on it not affecting anything else is imperative to them keeping at it. So fuck them, you're right, Brian.

I mean that's where I'm at, but I was willing to listen to other opinions, but I'm not gonna apologize for it. Some of these guys (not the ones who called me "intolerant") are pretty smart guys who I respect who I know don't support Trump but they go out of their way to not criticize anyone who supports him. At this point I don't see how you can have it both ways.

So now do we assume pizzagate was intentionally created to cast doubt on powerful pedophilia rings or is my brain counter-broken?
If it is, so is mine. Which it could be. But still.
Fuck this guy if he ever thinks anyone is ever gonna respect him. The Trump cult jerks will hate him for insulting Dear Leader and so will everyone on the left. So basically everyone hates him now. Good job, Paul.
Who could have possibly predicted that the House Democratic leadership’s bashing of AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Presley would embolden Trump go after then (yet again) with vicious racist incitement? This exact same pattern happened when Pelosi & Co. previously went after Omar for her criticism of Israel.
Wow Pelosi playing 4D chess getting Trump to walk right into the trap she set for him. Amazing strategy and leadership. Can’t help but feel this will be what sinks him.

Everything Trump the Authoritarian says and does is political. He said those things to further marginalize brown people, and thus further embolden his crew of radicalized ICE to perform sweeps as inhumanely as possible.

I don't understand how every one of Pelosi's tweets isn't replied to with an absolute barrage of that GIF over and over.
“All I'm sayin' is, he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall.”
The suggestion that Lindsey Graham is being blackmailed falsely assumes that he had any redeeming features to begin with. 90% of his past “bipartisanship” was with hawkish Democrats like Joe Lieberman who shared Graham’s goal of bombing more Muslims.
Well, to be somewhat fair to Graham, before Trump, he was attempting to take the mantle from McCain as a voice of reason type guy.
He started out as a back-bencher with Gingrich who made his mark pushing to impeach Clinton, so... Yeah, not exactly a saint. But over the years, he seemed to be settling into a role as a moderate Senator.
But holy shit. Now? He's borderline psychotic.

Your avatar unintentionally speaks volumes.
Your country's leadership is so fucked up right now that I can't even see a path forward.

My wife works for a company that does a good deal of business with the Feds. She has tons of people telling her how toxic and awful it is at the various agencies she works with. Firing a dozen people in a department in one day. Shitty management from the Trump appointees, all pretty clearly trying to make people miserable so they'll leave.
Hiring these awful people, many who are on record saying we should eliminate the very agency they are appointed to head... The fact that the media has done such a poor job covering this blatant plot to implode our federal govt is a fucking travesty.
