Also, apparently the volunteers were identified already and I'm not going to be there. Oh well.
That restores some hope in the running of the military.

I saw some news updates and finally just got this. Did not realize Mariano Rivera is a Trumper. Gross.

ETA: I think Woods and Jordan probably would have gotten a Presidential Medal of Freedom at some point in their lives anyway. Rivera I wonder about, but I don't know whether that's because he's naturalized or what. Can't question his achievements on the field of course, but don't think we should be bestowing the Medal of Freedom on any Hall of Famer just because they like Trump.
The thing to remember about Rivera outside of his being the greatest RP in MLB history is that he thought it was a good idea to electrify his swimming pool to keep his dogs from swimming in it.

A couple of his family members died from that decision.

I guess -- and I have a lot of questions but this is the biggest one -- how do the dogs know the water is electrified?

Maybe electrified water has a distinct odor dogs can smell after they shock themselves the first time? I got nothing otherwise.

Guys, you get all your dogs together next to the pool...then you throw some family members in and the dogs get the message.

He'd have gone to jail for some form of reckless endangerment if he did that in the United States, right?

Every time I see this Shapiro pisher, I am stunned that anyone even hate listens to him.

He must have got the shit kicked out of him in high school on a daily basis.

I remember a fairly long discussion about our respective families well into the evening the last time we socialized on Fremont Street. Sorry, man.

Yeah, unfortunately, I think many of us Swampers have unenlightened family members. I know I do.

Same. We just have always clashed, so we stopped discussing politics long ago. My wife tells me if there's something I should go like on my mom's Facebook page so I can ignore it there most of the time too.

I literally had to give up Facebook and nuke my profile in the meantime because the righty military friends I have are nothing but insufferable and I simply didn't want to interact with them or risk them screenshotting my takes and ratting me out.

When Obama was president, fair game openly saying shit about him. Trump becomes president and suddenly they become United States Code scholars copying and pasting rules that govern military members and their opinions.

And luckily in real life I surround myself with non Trumpers. I know others aren't so lucky.

Maaaaybe. Being a massive sports star, I tend to think he'd get away with it in certain states.

I wanna say that dude separated. He's had a beard for quite a time. Plus he hung out with Charlie Kirk recently.

His wife is still in and they moved to Colorado though.

Great leadership. What happens if the House holds someone in contempt? Can't Barr just ignore it or make the charge go away?
