That was a top ten worst loss of all time!

That was an amazing game.

Harbaugh will bitch about the refs (who sucked), but that comeback was fantastic.
It stings, but that was a great game to watch.

Jackson shows signs of being really good. Do you start Flacco if he's ready to go?

Well... the best hook and ladder play that didn’t involve the band out on the field.

I don’t. He doesn’t extend plays like Lamar can. I don’t think the running game would be as effective with Flacco back there. The threat of Lamar running keeps those linebackers still at the snap. It lets the OL get to the next level and open up holes for Edwards/Dixon. That being said, I know running QB’s get broken eventually.

George Kittle had 210 receiving yards in the first half today.

TO still holds the franchise record for yards in a game, right? In Jerry Rice’s last game at The Stick IIRC.

Sez here it’s Jerry Rice, not Owens.

I don’t remember the Rice game, but I do remember Taylor’s.

ETA: And that Jimmy Smith game was great. Jacksonville jumped out to 17-0 and 23-7 leads. Baltimore battled back and won 39-36. That was about 23% of the points the Ravens gave up all year.

Jerry Jones paying off the refs again, apparently. Eagles just got hosed on a horrible OPI call that negated a long, game-tying TD.

That was a classic “makeup” call that in no way actually balanced out the loss a 75 yard TD.

Back to the Dolphins/Pats...really, having Gronkowski out there was eternally stupid on every level. There was no scenario, not one, where the Dolphins could throw it to the end zone on the fly where he would be needed for a jump ball. The only scenario where Miami could score was how it went down, a scenario where Gronkowski was fundamentally useless, as was seen on how it played out. That was just dogshit stupid from Belichick.

It seems that every year there's a temptation to write off the Pats - usually around week 5 when they are 2-3 or something like that...

And these are always wrong.

But the signs are everywhere that they have passed their prime. With the way Gronkowski runs these days, it would have made as much sense putting a Tackle on the goal line.

Right. he was completely useless in that situation. That was a completely flat-line stupid use of him by the coaching staff.

Or...that was to deliberately humiliate Gronk so fans are less mad when he leaves. Belichick playing the long game.

It's real time. Guys make mistakes. Coaching legends included. 98% of the time the issue never comes up. Not gonna kill belichick because they ran the usual last play personnel out there. In retrospect, sure but there are maybe 1000 personnel decisions in a game, 700 of which turn out less than optimal after the fact.

Jim Caldwell got killed for doing the opposite and defending against a lateral play a couple years back when Rodgers actually threw a 70 yard bomb. Speaking of which, lots of people were convinced that Caldwell was a bad coach, but he doesn’t look so bad in comparison to Patricia.

Tannehill has no chance to throw that 70 yards. He isn’t Rodgers or Mahomes. It’s okay to admit that what belichick did this time was fucking dumb as shit. Some other coach does that and the entire world is still laughing and pointing fingers. That was insanely dumb from the Pats’ coaching staff.

Insanely dumb huh? He played it the same way they have for about 5 years. But for a great tackle at the 1 by Harmon, Josh Gordon would given up a Hail Mary in the same situation about 6 weeks ago. Bet he should have run him in there?
