Having an opinion about a trade isn't being to much isn't a right or wrong answer asshole. It's an opinion.

The Pats were mentioned as a landing place for OBJ. A first, a third and a player is a hefty price for him that they evidently weren't able or willing to match, and I'm glad they didn't.

when someone(s) offers a countering opinion -- in this case, multiple people saying that the trade price is not hefty -- they are, in essence, saying the original opinion is wrong

I'm obviously biased, but ALL of the people I care about in terms of NFL commentary - Ringer, Barnwell, 538's projectiong - seem to be in agreement that the GIants got hosed. So I can't see it as a hefty price tag, especially considering that while Peppers made improvements in year two, he still has a ways to go. Even if he becomes an all-pro, giving your young QB an elite level WR1 (Which will also let Landry return to the role he had in Miami and makes him more valuable because of that) is worth it.

I stated the reason for my opinion and in that regard it's not wrong.

As AB stated, some people believe differently. That's why there are sports message boards and sports radio.

Perhaps I should have had an addendum to my original post to please HRH Bronto, but I was a few beers in and you're an asshole.

No it sounds like too much when he thinks about the Patriots doing it so he's applying that feeling to another team with even higher picks. Not totally off the wall as far as developing an opinion goes.

That's too much money, but I think Tate still has quite a bit of gas in the tank. Of course, not sure who is gonna get him the ball.

There was some salary cap mumbo jumbo that was the stated reason, I think, but in reality they had to release him because as long as he was there it was going to be detrimental for Carson Wentz.

That's not what you're asking, per se, but I think that's why they ultimately released him.

It's not April 1st?

This can not be real. And if it is, this tweet alone should have Kaepernick's lawyers trying to get more money. Some time not too long ago I went on a rant about how shitty Rob Johnson was. But you know, at least he could throw a nice deep ball. J.P. Losman showed absolutely nothing as an NFL QB.

Ugly Numbers

Just a hint of the horrors of Losman - more fumbles than TD passes in his career. (More pickoffs too)

Counts against the salary cap. I think the Pats had same issue with Garrapolo. Trade him before the season ends, release him after the season, or have him count against your cap while trying to sign other players during free agency

There's a lot of ifs/unknowns going on right now. Only his fiancee is named in the second police report (the one from yesterday) and the one from March 5 was already closed. They're both named as others involved in the March 5 one.

The one from yesterday is the one being mentioned prominently because it's the one that involves the battery accusation that doesn't have any details. But neither of them are listed as the reporting party in either report (that we know of).

ETA: The March 14 police report dates back to something that happened in February.

After Bryce Callahan signed with Denver, I am a little disappointed that the Bears brought in Buster Skrine to be their nickel instead of retaining Callahan. Both signed three-year deals and I know there are certainly differences in guarantees, bonuses, etc., but the two deals are a maximum of $5.5 million apart ($21M to $15.5). Seems like not enough difference in total money to lose player continuity and bringing an older replacement.
