Or he could be Hugh Jackson's DC. Bring in Todd Haley as OC and you've got the dream team right there.

I’m not hiring any Patriots coordinator unless Ernie Adams and his “research” methods are coming too. Patricia got the rocket scientist hype for years and has been markedly worse in Detroit than the oft-maligned Jim Caldwell. I guess Bill O’Brien has a decent track record but you wonder where he’d be if they didn’t draft Watson.
Before Doug Marrone staked his claim to the crown, no team quit quite like a Bill O'Brien team.

If it's a competition, I'd like to nominate Dick Jauron whose Bills teams finished his full seasons on 2-3, 2-5 and 2-8 runs. They started the next season 3-6 before he was canned.

Yeah but that was a team that had JP Losman throwing to Peerless Price.

EDIT: I guess you could say the same about Jacksonville but that defense is just so stacked at every level.

Seeing a lot of rumors about "Brian Kelly to XYZ NFL team" and starting to think there might be something to it. If he ever goes to the NFL this is going to be the time. He might be thinking that he'll never have a better chance to win the national title than he did this season and they never really had a chance against either Clemson or Alabama. Dude is also an egomaniac and probably thinks he can succeed where a lot of college guys haven't.

So next question is assuming Pittsburgh actually decides to trade him what they can get in return.

Truth is this probably isn't the worst time to trade him. He's been pretty durable and he's still pretty young, but he should start declining in production pretty soon. Not unreasonable to assume some desperate team will overpay even if the Steelers don't have any leverage other than trying to pit several teams against each other.

Has to fetch at least a first if Cooper got a first.

He's already liked a photo of him photoshopped in a San Fran uni.

He's not nearly as young as Cooper and he is a headcase but he also comes on a 3 year deal at $12 mil a year with no guarantees so that certainly helps increase his trade value.

I don’t think so. He seems pretty defensive if anyone has ever wanted to get blocked by a former scouting director of an NFL team.

I know Mahomes has taken the league by storm but if that’s the rationale here, I’d rather spin a roulette wheel and hire a random Andy Reid assistant than hire Kingsbury. I wouldn’t even call Kingsbury a mediocre college coach. He was flat out bad compared to how others have done at Texas Tech.

what I’m trying to say is it isn’t like Texas tech is some hotbed of great coaches.
