Veteran guy that was totally misused by inept coaches while in Calgary.
Bouwmeester is a really good player. He’s rock solid for the Blues but everyone says he was even better when he was younger and had more athleticism.

He was great back in his/the Panther's heyday.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

One of the best skaters ever. That guy used to just glide.

It’s a spectacular trophy. I lived in the same neighborhood as a few Bruins players back in 2011 and Andrew Ference used his day with the Cup to organize a neighborhood parade that started right outside my apartment building. I got to walk right by the Cup and it was awesome.

Also, Ference is my all-time favorite athlete for this reason.
Agreed. I got a picture taken with it and another with Phil Pritchard (the "Cup Keeper") back in 2006. He was wearing the trademark white gloves.

I was out in CO last week, and one day we went on a cool train ride out of Leadville.

Anyways, a family/group was on the train wearing Blues gear and I chatted them up. They were in that weird giddy state - the dads, in particular, had that vibe of "I'm really still processing this." Cool to kind of see that and understand it so viscerally. I didn't make it about the Caps (me), which was difficult. :-)
