Agree. Culture and arts and symbols matter, too. It’s hard to draw the line sometimes (should anyone ever donate to the opera?), but I have no problem with funding Notre Dame restoration.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Its not the best use of money overall but its probably the best use you're going to get of this specific type of person's money.
