Two yellow labs for me as well. Lucy is 12 and slow and arthritic. She's been an "old" dog for years now. In fairness to her, she's been through chemo twice.
My other dog, Fuzzy Kat, is an 8-year-old puppy. She's constantly happy and full of boundless energy.
They're just great dogs.

I want in.
Riley (Black Lab)
Mack (Choco Lab)
Poppy (Foster dog. Husky/Shepherd/Corgi? Mix. Scheduled for right front leg amputation on Nov 2 and she's with us until she's healthy ((and then we're probably keeping her)))

Poppy is a cool looking Mutt. Love Husky mixes. Once saw a Corgi Husky mix. Perfect Corgi body with a Husky head, fur and coloring. One of the most bizarre looking dogs I've ever seen.

AWWW the second pic! Good luck with the cone o' shame. I'll probably be coming back to the thread in a few weeks for advice on how to care for a small dog that just got spayed and had a limb lopped off. We have a wagon for her. She likes walks :)

He’s a very good boy! We’ve only “lost” a couple of Halloween decorations

Just saw a thread about Corgi mixes (maybe here). Corgi dominates the genes and all Corgi mixes have Corgi sized bodies.
Amazon present 24 hour livestream of dogs with Lindsey Vonn. Guess it started yesterday and ends this morning.

I think I mentioned somewhere that we watched a preview of the first 2 or 3 episodes of that show (The Pack). Amazing Race, but with dogs. It looks like they picked it up and it premieres on Prime on 11/20. Going on the watchlist.
If you had any balls you would have gone with Abbott

My brother had one of his three goes through the process and its gone about as well as possible. Dogs don't really give a shit.
(And Dravecky works a lot better here.)

The 2 vs 2 split in my family seems to have tilted to 3 vs me over the weekend.

Any suggestions for a tug rope for a 25-pound puppy who just destroyed a three-loop braided rope over the course of a week?

It’s not a rope, but Kong toys are the toughest ones out there. Some cream cheese inside a Kong will entertain a pup for awhile.

We have one of those, also. He likes playing tug of war... almost as much as he likes eating the rope.

Yeah, ours, too. We have a tough braided rope that is great for tugging. But, I don't know the brand name.
