Just like that, 2-0 Brew Crew over Scherzer.

Very SSS, but Scherzer really doesn't have great postseason numbers for someone I just assumed would.

I think my least favorite part of sports is when there’s a dude who clearly fucked it all up and he’s not an established player.

Agree with this but that 8th inning was like 90% Hader’s fault, particularly with hitting Taylor and walking Rendon. Even if Grisham plays Soto’s hIt perfectly, the pinch runner probably beats the throw home and it’s 3-3 with two men on for Kendrick.

ETA: one of the TBS announcers suggested this and upon watching the play again it does look like the ball took a bad bounce and changed its trajectory to break significantly to Grisham’s right. It was still a makeable play, but that would explain how the ball was so far to the side of him when it got through.

I just watched the highlight and that's what it looked like to me as well. It was like it 'checked'...like a wedge shot into a green...and then bounced to Grisham's right.

Rich Gannon should throw the first pitch out tonight... and then Dexter Jackson should fly in, intercept it, and then run it back to the warning track.

Just a pathetic crowd in Oakland. I don’t know why they don’t just move them to a real sports town like Las Vegas.

What? Not a bad crowd for a Wednesday on short notice, starting at 5:00 which is tough for the A’s blue collar base. Lot better crowd than they would have gotten if the Rays were the home team.

ETA: The game is a sellout and the fans are loud.

It looks on TV like there are about 10,000 empty seats but I’ll take your word. And you’re probably right about Tampa.

Could be a late-arriving crowd because of the early start but I’d like to see another shot of the upper deck.

Looks like a full house to me on that last HR by Diaz. And from everything that I’ve heard, those seats in Mt. Davis are shit.

A five o clock game anywhere is gonna have late comers right? I’ve only watched like ten minutes total granted but A California crowd coming late doesn’t surprise me.

It takes a while for the Warriors bandwagon to unload.

Not taking the fact that the Knights are going to get tripled up by Athletics fans too well, huh, Bri???

That deserves a non-ironic LOL. Also there’s probably a decent chance the A’s really do end up in Vegas before it’s all said and done.

Rooting interests ranked, from "Please no not them again" to "Sure why not (which begins at #6)" because that's about as much juice as I can muster this postseason.

8. Cardinals
7. Yankees
6. Nationals
5. Braves
4. Twins
3. Rays
2.Astros
1. Dodgers

Just get Kershaw his ring so I never have to pull for the Dodgers again.

Mine's more or less the same, but I'd have Nationals lower and Dodgers higher.

1-5 are almost interchangeable. Really have nothing for the Nationals, for whatever reason.

I might swap 5 and 6, but otherwise that's my list (but that's Dodgers fan bias).

I’d move the Astros down since they won so recently. And I’m sure that I’ll get triggered once the Braves fans start the tomahawk chop, because I hated their 1990s teams. Also while I’m not a Cardinals fan, I haven’t been to any playoff games since the 2013 ALCS and would like to see them make a bit of a run so that I can get some games in.

Pulling for the Dodgers still as a residual from seeing that playoff game there a few years ago.

I don't have a horse in this race, really, so I'd like to see the Twins due to the fact they mash the shit out of the ball.
