I don't think I saw him linked, but interesting that Minny wasn't one of the teams interested in trading for Rosen.

Kirk Cousins is the ultimate “eye test” guy for me. He usually compiles solid stats but I have never been impressed when I’ve watched him play. His brutal record against winning teams is particularly telling.

Kirk Cousins is Matthew Stafford with a weaker arm and better supporting cast.

So in this particular subset of QBs would the rating go:

Ryan
Stafford
Dalton
Cousins?

Cousins will look great if everything is going right and they are kicking ass on a weak team.

Otherwise...

He's a lot like Mariota. If they are up 10-3 or whatever it's great. Down 3-10. Not so great.

Also, Ghostowski to IR in New England, next XP or FG will just be the 4th different kicker in 24 years.

That is incredible.

The Bills have been pretty solid at kicker over that period, but have used 9 (3 of which were only around for a few games)

Pete Carroll is very lucky to survive that.

You can see, in super slo-mo, him going unconscious before he hits the ground. It's almost UFC-like. Jesus Christ this is tough to watch.

And then he had to walk off the field because the medical cart malfunctioned. This is fucking atrocious. Having been through simulated warzone military courses where you have to save people and conduct field medical care, you find a way to save the wounded. Unfuckingbelieveable.

I think Ian Eagle saying Mason Rudolph left the field under his own power is a bit of an overstatement

That kick was no good for about 80% of the flight path until the last few yards.

Turned on OT just in time for the Juju fumble, so great day of football.

I went 10-0 betting the noon games, which means I'll probably get the final three games of the day wrong.

(I've actually done really well on the NFL this year, but I figure that will normalize soon)

Cowboys are dumb. Kick the FG before the 2 minute warning with 2 TOs left.

Mike Vrabel is either an idiot, or he just wanted to torture his lousy kicker today.

4th and 4 - Bills up 14-7 with like 5 minutes left - he sent out Cairo Santos who was already 0-3 on field goals (including a 32 yard attempt that unblocked went UNDER the crossbar) to try a CAREER LONG 53 yarder.

Santos shanked it so badly that it missed the screen. Bills got a couple of first downs and ended the game.

The move made no sense whatsoever.

Indy looking heavy on both sides of the ball. Wouldn't want them in January.

They got to get rid of onside kicks. 0/13 this year.

Make it the old way or 4th and 15.

All they have to do is change the minimum kick distance to 5 yards. With no run up and blockers in front its just impossible to get there unless someone drops it. At least at 5 yards the guy catching it has to think about getting plowed. At 10 with blockers its just stupid. Kickoffs and onside kicks used to be super exciting.

NFL doesn't want any plowing.

I think the point is they don't want guys getting plowed anymore...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Gruden fired; I thought they were gonna wait for them to lose to Miami first.

To me that's Dalton. I call him the "Thermometer" because he basically just takes the temperature of your offense.

Cousins is a guy who is so risk averse that a good team can easily beat him by essentially playing prevent all game.

I'm not going to suggest Gruden didn't deserved to get fired, but calling him into the office at 5 am instead of simply doing it after the game is par for the course for this Mickey Mouse organization.

NFL kickers will just drill guys from 5 yards out. It would certainly be more fun, though.
