"Foreskin's Lament" is a memoir about a writer's childhood in an abusive ultra-orthodox Jewish home, and his struggles to overcome both the psychological scars and the superstitions that persist in his life as he tries toi create a new life for his family and himself.

And it is fucking hysterical.

I got this book out of the library and I REALLY wanted to like it but I only came away from it thinking Serrano's taste in movies mostly sucks.

Yeah, I don't care for some of the movies he highlights, but I like his style a lot.

This sounds like an interesting. Also sounds like Ari Shaffir's next hour, which I am really looking forward to.

I love me some Shea, but I can't see a world in which I pay $10 for a single short story that's only 15 pages long.
