would love to hear the reasoning why a left ankle sprain would help lead to a right knee dislocation from a guy falling on top of you

To be fair to rush, there is a possibility he was just gloating over Mahomes' injury.

I mean it's a freak injury but I thought the same thing. He's had issues, why put him in a vulnerable position.

And heyzeuschristo was that a fuckawful game the second Mahomes left the game. Cost me my over parlay.

a QB sneak isn't all that vulnerable. if it was, you think the team and QB that I don't have to name because we all know who I am referencing would run it as often as they do?

ETA: I think it if was more vulnerable than other plays I would be able to come up with another example of a QB getting seriously injured during one

That play was exactly on the level of "Gronk breaking his arm blocking during an extra point." Didn't seem out of the ordinary and actually a big downer because Mahomes is an awesome player to watch. I got the push note of the injury and went to Twitter thinking he'd been sacked or slipped like Jimmy G.

Suppose so. Just seems like an easy play to get stepped on with a tweaked ankle already that got folded twice 2 weeks ago. Obviously the knee thing is unrelated. Sucks you lost him, football is better with Mahomes around. Hope it's not serious.

I hope that, someday, we'll see the majority of fans shift to supporting players over teams (owner) - and not just in football. Things like that (and worse) are just gross.

The prevailing sentiment is that "these guys make millions to play a kids game." Nevermind the fact that the owners make hundreds of millions exploiting employees, cities, counties and states.

A symptom of a society that worships the powerful and disdains the people they climb over to get their billions.

I wasn't watching the game, only saw the headline, and at the time I wrote that thought it was the same leg. Though if your superstar was gimpy I'd probably not put him in a position that 280+ lbs guy could fall on his leg.

I'd never wish injury or gloat about an injury. I not a "fan" of Mahomes because he plays for is a rival of sorts at the time, but I certainly enjoy the excitement he brings to the game

Perfectly clean hit on Goff called RTP. Awful. I hate the League’s attempt to devolve the game into glorified flag football.
On a related note, Goff doesn’t get enough credit for his toughness. He’s taken big shots every game and pops up every time.

Offense looking fantabulous. Can't understand why I ever thought trading away assets to move up one spot to take Trubisky was a bad idea.

I have a feeling that the graphic they showed during the game - the one with Trubisky and the next 2 QBs chosen in the 2016 draft (Mahomes and Watson) - will be a regular feature of every game that he starts for the Bears.

Which will probably happen about 10 more times.

Man, he makes Josh Allen look like Aaron Rodgers.

Calling Watson in the grasp yesterday was absurd. Especially after he still got nailed after throwing the pass and no penalty was called on that.

Yeah, pretty impressive he could get 9 of his 19 receiving yards on one play.

He's got to be proud to be a member of the only NFL offense yet to gain 300 yards in a game this season.

Curious to see what he stands looked like 15 minutes later. Went to the Jets game last week against the Cowboys, and 5 minutes before kickoff, it looked pretty similar. I think the 4:25 kickoff time threw people off, or they continued tailgating longer than usual. It was still unusually sparse at kickoff, and I knew there would be a lot of Cowboy fans coming out. Maybe 10 minutes after kickoff, it was packed.
