Bump. MSU becomes first preseason #1 to drop out of rankings completely since Kentucky in 2012-13.

I'm a little surprised the shit show that is MSU's AD hasn't caught up to Izzo and his recruiting, but... Dude still pulls blue chips regularly.

UM's win against Sparty was the first one since 2018.

(UM has had a bonkers year, springing out with early season success, going through stretches of games in the B1G where they can't hit 3's to save their lives.

No small coincidence that having Livers back in the lineup produced another signature win. I didn't realize just how good that kid is until he was injured and out of the lineup.)

Good jinx. I turned the game on for the second half both teams are actually making shots now.

So UK missed just six shots and shot 74% in the second half. 7-8 on threes. If this team could put two halves together they'd be undefeated.

Dayton is - Toppin is a legit NBA player. That can carry a team a long way.

Sestina doesn’t really belong in the SEC athletically but I think they really need his floor spacing to open things up for the other guys on offense.

I think Dayton's biggest risk is facing a down-ish year name program in the round of 32 and Toppin getting put in foul trouble.

Dayton is not great on defense or rebounding, but they're a smart veteran team. Grant has them running an NBA offense which meshes well with their roster. Jalen Crutcher is a very good point guard and Trey Landers gives them a little bit of everything. Their top six is probably as good as any in the country while undersized outside of Toppin.

Only thing I'll say about San Diego State is that they've not played the toughest schedule, but they've been more or less blowing everyone out. Think they only have like four games all year decided by 9 or less. Wouldn't surprise me to see them undefeated heading into NCAA Tournament at this point.

I've been hearing for the past few years that Illinois was on the verge of being really good. They appear to be on the edge this year - but are they going to be getting better or worse the next year or two with graduations etc.?
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

They play gnarly defense and Ayo Dosunmu is an incredibly effective offensive weapon. I doubt he's going to the NBA, but keeping him is probably key to building for next year.

This feels very fucking weird to say, but...

Pretty big UM win @ Rutgers tonight. Wolverines break the Knights 17 home game winning streak.

M does it without Livers, who is nursing an ankle injury now.

That win gives them a decent cushion.
