We are going to sign up. Heard rumors that it included Hulu and ESPN, but I just went to the preview page and those aren't listed.

There is going to be a plan including those, but I don't think it's going to be available at launch.

There was an early sign up that included it but it was a special offer that was only available for a few days.

There's a Disney Streaming office a few floors below me. Apparently they are showing The Mandalorian in a conference room all day today for anyone in the building. But I'm at work and am lame, so I won't make it down there.

Is the Mandalorian being pushed out all at once or weekly? Basically can I subscribe and cancel?

One today, one friday, then every friday for a few weeks. I think specifically to keep people from paying for one month to get the hottest content (and also to give people time to forget to cancel). Making people pay $21 bucks for a $100 million TV show is better than $7.

I'm personally looking forward to the Star Wars/Marvel crossover movie where it's learned Tony Stark and Stark Industries was the contractor for the Death Star.

While it would likely be dismissed as a mockery, an animated series where some funny person wrote things like this would be awesome.

Just a funny tweet. By the way I saw the deal for Disney, Hulu and ESPN for 12.99 today.

When listening to the Deadspin podcasts I'd get borderline creeped out by how Roth's sense of humor was almost 100% the same as my own.

If you have Verizon and have bought a new device since 11/12 OR have an existing unlimited plan, you get a free year trial. You need to sign up through Verizon'a app or My Verizon on laptop. ESPN+ and Hulu seem to be included but already have those so didn't investigate. Just signed up so can verify validity.

If you are missing Roth on the Deadcast, I recently stumbled onto a podcast called 'Dave and Jeb aren't mean' where Roth and Jeb Lund (and a guest) break down a Hallmark christmas movie. It's pretty funny.

Considering I was already paying $15/mo for ESPN+ and Hulu I decided to quit being so stubborn and signed up for the $13/mo plan that includes all three (supposedly they're going to adjust my account automatically if you already have ESPN and Hulu, but I'll believe that shit when I see. I suspect a call to customer support is going to be in my future next month when I'm getting billed for all three.)

Brand new Phineas and Ferb movie this summer. Would have subscribed for that alone.

I did have to deal with their customer support after getting billed for all of them, but they did work it out pretty quickly.

That show is an all timer. Swamper if you’ve got young kids, get them on this show because you’ll enjoy it as much as they do if not more.

Yup, totally agree. My father even watched it on his own after seeing it with my nephews. There are few shows I've watched with the kids and actually enjoyed, this is the best of them. Now that I think about it, it's a Disneyfied Rick and Morty in a way.

Agreed, a really great show. My 11 yr old just started the series over again, I think this will be the 3rd or 4th time through. He just almost finished Milo Murphy's Law, it's from the same creators and set in the same universe. He's saving the last episode for a special occasion.
I had vague memories of Gus, and the reality was even better. From the heart recommended.
ETA:
-Official partnership with the NFL, so real teams and unis and the Super Bowl
-70s Disney movie stalwarts Don Knotts and Tim Conway
-a young Dick Enberg
-a bunch of other news/sportscasters who I didn't recognize but were probably then-famous
-a young(?) Ed Asner
-Johnny Unitas and Bob Crane killing it as a broadcasting duo
-an extended fight scene in a nostalgia-triggering supermarket
-Richard Kiel in a part only he could play
Agreed. I liked its message. 7/10 from me.

Yeah about that rating too. Pixar's bar is so high that this felt like a bit of a let down but the animation was cool, neat concept, but characters were just not as deep and we'll developed as others.

Really liked Soul, too. Didn't quite put me through the wringer the way some of Pixar's best can do, but it was very solid. And along with Netflix's Dash and Lily (which we've been watching with one of the kids) made me miss just aimlessly walking around NYC.

Same director on Soul as on Up and Inside Out. He gets into some heady shit with his movies.

The score from Soul was co-written by Trent Reznor.

Feel the same as Rass on the movie. My God the animation is incredible.
And yeah, this isn't a movie for small kids.
