Good point about the clutching and grabbing back then. But on the other hand, the forwards didn’t play much defense in the 1980s. Lots of 8-5 games back then.

No way. Curling is really advanced now. The sweeping alone is different.

And I was kidding about Bruce Lee but I have heard that argument.

Pads, and goaltenders, are a lot larger now too.

Pads, and goaltenders, are a lot larger now too.
Not even so much pads and sizing as the entirety of the Butterfly style, which there were maybe 5 guys that were doing that for the entirety of Gretz' career? (Before you guys kill me, I'm talking prime years. I know he played through the mid 90s and was seeing a lot more of it. I mean the years where he was putting up 150pts+ per season)
