Did I miss the memo where we are supposed to pronounce Tua's last name as Tung-o-vi-a-lo? Why is there an "n" sound? Does it have to do with Hawaii?

So apparently the NBA measures it differently. From wrist to tip of middle finger.

Do that exercise to make yourself puny compared to Kawhi.
Yeah - I actually just did that. Jesus, it's kind of scary.

Ravens send a 5th round pick to Jacksonville for Calais Campbell. That’s the pick they got last year for their back up kicker who MIN cut eventually.

Tannehill's deal makes me shake my head (4 for $118 million, north of $60 million guaranteed).

Agreed. He played really well last season but I don’t know how sustainable that is. There’s a lot of evidence that Tannehill is a slightly above average, but not great, QB and he presumably benefited a lot from Henry’s monster season.

Trading away a superstar wide receiver for this is not going to make your team better.

Prove unequivocally that having your coach be your GM is franchise suicide, or at least that's my guess.

I mean, 30 GMs had to be kicking themselves for not thinking to ask.

I don't get how Arizona got up the courage to ask for a 4th without thinking it would blow up the whole negotiation.

Bill Barnwell Isn't A Fan of The Trade
David Johnson probably profiles as the pass-catching, lower-usage half of a running back rotation at the moment. That's exactly what O'Brien already had in Duke Johnson. If anything, the Texans still probably need to add a back who can work between the tackles.
Inexplicable.

The only plausible explanation is Hopkins has some kind of a drug or attitude issue, but even were that the case you'd expect a better haul.

From everything I've read about him he is as good as they come. If you don't know the story about him mom, it's worth looking up. I think it was MIna Kimes that had a big article about it on ESPN.

Yeah, I know, but that's the only thing that makes sense. This trade is like trading a dollar for a quarter.

If Houston was desperate to trade Hopkins to a team in the NFC West with an underperforming RB, there were other options. Just sayin.

Swap gurley for Johnson and it’s at least defensible.

Huh?

38 receptions with Aaron Rodgers, with the current exchange rate that works out to 15 with Trubisky.

I was thinking Tampa - but Brady there with Tua on a one-year recovery plan makes a lot of sense.

I was thinking Brady wanted to go to Vegas, LA, or Miami to grow his TB12 business. The only problem with the Tua plan you mentioned, is I'm guessing Brady is going after a 3 year contract and he thinks he's playing for 3 more years..at least

Other than losing the coach (kinda massive) pats offensive line could be very strong.

43 year old Brady and the Arians system are the worst possible fits for each other. Now I'm not saying that Arians isn't smart enough to know that he would have to change things up - of course he knows this. But how much success can you expect with a 70 year old coach implementing a brand new system?

I personally would have never thought to do so if I were a GM. Why would they do that? Don't want to waste my time!

But then after it happened I'd be calling Elway and trying to get Von Miller for a 7th rounder, etc.
