I'm not certain why Utah doesn't identify himself as an FBI agent immediately in the bank robbery so the witnesses can ID him as being an unwilling participant, though maybe it does have to do with him being excited by being a part of Bodhi's crew.

Obviously, he's going to make Utah his fall guy ahead of time, but it's about the score because he knows he can't come back.
