If Musk were at all funny, he'd go around dropping blue checks on far left posters so people think they paid for it.

No idea if this is legit, but either way, holy shit.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Yeah I can't tell who is for and who is against trans people or if now the issue is not being a big enough ally or what. I was confused for sure.

Are we supposed to know Steve Albini? Seems like an engineer who plays poker?

From Steve Albini’s wiki page:The Sybian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 2:06 pmAre we supposed to know Steve Albini? Seems like an engineer who plays poker?
Steve Albini (pronounced /ælˈbiːni/; born July 22, 1962) is an American musician, record producer, audio engineer and music journalist…
In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums over his career. He has worked with acts such as Nirvana, Pixies, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, and former Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

Re: Twitter:The New Batch
Yeah pretty well known in the music world.... I didn't think it was the same person though.
Re: Twitter:The New Batch
Dammit, now I'm the loser because I knew who it was. This just seemed like a pretty amazing summary of the blue check nonsense: Dork who now pays for the blue check accuses guy without the blue check of paying for engagement.
Re: Twitter:The New Batch
Even better, I don't think Albini ever bothered to get a blue check before the concept really soured.

I love that city, and the grid/cityblock set up is huge reason why. The town just works. Super walkable.

Re: Twitter:The New Batch
Spent 8 hours walking in Barcelona as a stop on a Mediterranean cruise, and I think it's my favorite city. The architecture and the layout of the blocks is incredible from the ground, but seeing aerial photos, especially at night, is amazing. Looks like a city from another planet in a Star Wars movie. We wandered into some shops in the old Medieval section of the city and we wanted to buy city map from the 1500s, but it was an original and prohibitively expensive. We planned on finding a similar replica, but never did. Really hope to make it back to Barcelona and spend more time exploring.govmentchedda wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:17 am I love that city, and the grid/cityblock set up is huge reason why. Re: Twitter:The New Batch
yeah not much concrete to add but I spent 2 days/1 night there and absolutely wanted more. Had an amazing lunch at a beach-side restaurant then slept it off on said beach - walked miles with no real destination - highly memorable. As Pruitt says: "A fantastic place to wander."

Re: Twitter:The New Batch
That's awesome. Reading the 2nd pic I was immediately wondering where Masta Killa was. He sucked, but he was def an original member as far as the first album goes.

Y’all, @nickadamsusa doesn’t get enough credit for being unbelievably good satire. No one has faked right wing machismo that well since Colbert.
Re: Twitter:The New Batch
I have to be honest, I question it sometimes.

I've seen his Twitter in passing and I had no idea it was satire.

Go back and read and read. It’s definitely satire.
