I don’t have the pot. So I am going to swill this bottle as fast as I can. I am already pretty damn buzzed. I’ve decided that is ok.

So I’m not taking the night off from SC Live?

Tanya judges me for my Thursday night alcohol intake, but fuck it.

I’m making this bottle my bitch.

Also, I may already be pretty drunk.

I am definitely drinking more....but its all before dinner. I'm getting used to the 'making dinner and having a beer (or 2)', in addition to wine with dinner. But I rarely (maybe on friday night or satuday night) have something more after dinner.

Good amount of veggies with the protein, not so unique you'd be tired by Day 3, not inherently heavy but can be as filling as you want by just eating more. I think its the right answer.

I’ve absolutely been drinking more during lock-in. But not much beer, mostly gin and whisky. Got comments from my wife at some points earlier on, but I’ve continued to lose weight so they didn’t really land.

That was fun.

I get it now. I’ve spent five decades fearing this because of family history but ... this is... biceps. Nice . It’s nice. It’s nice not to be sad for a change. I am just sorry we can’t all be not sad together.

I saw this 1 minute after learning Hop Hing reopened today!!! They closed a couple days before the lockdown. Still my go-to Chinese, as they have the best soups.

Just reminded of a story I meant to post in the irony thread. Hop Hing is the best (worst?) at the stereotype of Chinese restaurant employees screaming at each other. Every time I call, I'm amazed they get the order correct. Either an old man or woman who seem like they don't understand a word I'm saying, and they will start screaming at people while you give your order. I used to pause, and she'd get pissy with me saying she was listening. A couple times I've asked her to repeat the order, because I think there is no way she got it right. She just screams that she got it right. At some point they hired a white girl, about college aged. Super sweet phone manners. First time she takes my order I think, wow, that was so pleasant and I know she understood me. Pick up the order, half the dishes are wrong.

Drinking not to feel sad... that describes my teens and 20s! Pro tip: it doesn't work.
