I mean, I get it. There's racists in Philadelphia (and suburbs). No shit. You went to college here and you hate Philly. I remember you'd bring it up in the old swamp and you bring it up again still, mostly unprovoked just to get another dig in. And doing it here is like preaching to the choir. Like when I walked away from Jeopardy two weeks ago because they brought up Santa and the snowballs again, 53 years later. It's just tired.

Yeah, I took this as some friendly banter/ribbing. I've found Philly sports fans are super-sensitive to their reputation. I mean, you have a stadium full of people throwing snowballs at Santa ONE TIME, and require a judge and jail in your stadium due to the English-level of hooliganism, and you get a reputation! (BTW, if you start to type "Veterans Stadium" into Google, the first suggested auto fill is "jail."

It's probably one of those days where I let shit get to me. Fed up with people in general in the morning and then see one thing that annoys me and I finally decide to comment on something. So yeah, you pushed the right button and the right time. (Maybe yours sometimes stick out because I generally don't like people from the same school you went to, but that's because I had a roommate for four years who went there and was annoying as hell, as were all of his douchebag friends.)

A Bucks County PA school district voted 6-1 yesterday to end their DEI program. The Pennridge Board includes Joan Cullen, a January 6th attendee, who has not been charged with anything as there's no evidence she breached the Capitol, so therefore was not removed from her position.

With all the small school districts in PA there are many opportunities for screwy board members. Other states may have a board for the county. PA has one for each school. I'm surprised there aren't more of these cases. I know a few of our local board members and they all have either a CRT, masking, or vaccination opinion that doesn't fit the majority. The reason they ran isn't to speak for the majority.

The school district I grew up in had a group on the board that tried to do away with advanced classes. The reason being it was a waste of money for a school where most students ended up in agricultural or trade fields.
