The Hall of Very Good goes to the movies

Post by blundercrush »

So I am organizing my movies, and I wanted to look into some more movies. This is for the hall of very good. If it's on this list: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?grou ... ser_rating it's too good for this list. It's entirely arbitrary, but you should reasonably be able to say "This movie is good" and many people won't snort at you (I love "The Fast and the Furios" the original, it probably doesn't make this list).

Some examples for me:

Booksmart
Charlie Wilson's War
Road to Perdition
Friday Night Lights (2004 movie)
Hot Fuzz

I mostly watch old movies, so your mileage may vary from this, but here are a few suggestions that I didn't see on that list:

The Asphalt Jungle
Raising Arizona
Pickup on South Street
I Love You, Man
Breathless (1960 French version)
Body Heat
Blood Simple
The Big Heat

Some great choices from Sancarlos!

Didn't read the whole list, but these are good ones...

The Road Warrior
Thief
Postman Always Rings Twice
Pale Rider

I haven’t seen thief but these other three are strong.
You know what you need? A lyrical sucker punch to the face.
