While they've given the narrator some solid jokes, it's really a cheap shortcut to move things along. I just wonder if it was a way to shorten the movie and reduce the budget (the set decoration is very extensive for a comedy).

The bullet coming out of the Fox News logo is nice. Gotta appreciate the fuck you from Judge there (movie is produced by Fox).

I love Dax Shepard (the person), but he's not a great actor.
I haven't seen enough of him to really have an opinion, but I think it's more of a problem with the character being badly conceived and written. No good reason for him to be involved after his first scene.

It's seldom you say a movie would be better longer, but they really could have used an extra 10 minutes to flesh out some things here and there.
