I was going to say that maybe Vegas-Vancouver didn't have back-to-backs like other series (e.g. Philly-Isles went back-to-back last Saturday and Sunday) and they wanted to not overburden other teams, but it looks like Vegas and Vancouver played three consecutive days. Am I seeing that right?

No, but there was a back to back already for Games 3 & 4. This will be three games in four days.

Avs/Stars on USA! Interrupting hour 74 of Law & Order: SVU.

I still don't know much about the game, but I'm officially in love with hockey. Finally settling on a team to root for and follow has helped, especially when they're an up and coming team.
The Avs are a fun team. And most of their stars are young guys.

Fun fact. Of the final 8 teams left - most are not leaning on the goaltender who led them in wins in the regular season.

The four Western semifinalsts have used 9 goalies between them these series which feels like it has to be a record.

It's always fun when unknown guys become postseason heroes!

I wish the rule was just always five minutes for hits to the head and I'd feel better because that hit was not predatory. If anything Reaves hit him with his back, which seems like it should only be two minutes.

I still haven't seen a replay where he hit him with his shoulder, which if so I'd agree with you. But looked like Reaves was turning away and Motte's head bounced off his back.

I’d still feel pretty good if I was a Vegas fan. Other than that Boesser shot that Lehnar made the great save on, Vancouver hasn’t looked dangerous all game.

All that said, all hits to the head should be 5 minutes.

And I definitely am not a Reaves fanboy. If Vegas wins I hope he’s suspended so Vegas can play a forward with talent.

Yup. I can’t care at all when a guy’s argument is “I blasted him open-ice but I grazed his shoulder first”.

Tonight for the second west playoff matchday in a row, Vegas will play their third game in four nights. And presumably DeBoer will continue to refuse to play his 3-Cup winning backup goalie.

In all fairness, both the Isles and the Knights got screwed by the schedule compression. That aside, what a game by Point and Kucherov last night. The Kuch tip to Point from the stretch pass from Shattenkirk was insane.

Wow. Dallas advances in just five games. Did not see that coming. And to think that at the beginning of the playoffs I thought they were the weakest of the western teams that got byes.

I think Dallas is just a slightly-more=talented version of the Islanders.

I really wish Zucc were still on Dallas so I would have a guaranteed happy finish to this season. I'd have to settle for Boston schadenfreude if Tampa loses.

I checked out a bit for the conference finals, but I am looking forward to Dallas-Tampa. If Stamkos comes back I'd be happy to see him get a cup, but as of now my heart's firmly behind Stars coach Rick Bowness. Played and coached the Jets in the 80's (only head coach one season but it must of been the first year I started retaining hockey memories because in my mind he was there a long time). Just seems like an insanely nice guy, and I like that good things are happening to him.
I also have an instinct to like Seguin and Benn. Seems like they've had some undeserving negative reputations, both as players and people, which I think are mostly unearned.

The final tally is VGK fans bought 682 pizzas for Boyle Street Community Center for Edmonton’s homeless and hungry.

ETA: My bad, 583.

Don't mean to disparage the guy, but I don't think Leon Draisaitl is even the most valuable player on his own team.
