Well...I don't watch hockey all that often, so maybe he wears out if you get too much of him. But he's always on top of the action, and his enthusiasm for the game is contagious.

He’s enthusiastic and conveys excitement. But if it’s a team he’s not familiar with, he struggles a bit. This tweet hit it on the head.

It really was an honest ask for me, not trying to drag you for it. He's not my cup of tea, but if he's bringing more fans to the telly, I'm all for it.

I know next to nothing about how hockey should be officiated, but it seemed to me that on the Benn penalty in OT the NBC announcers were focusing on the lack of skate-to-skate contact and missed the fact that Benn used his stick to lift up one of Johnson's legs and take his balance out. So it looked like a "trip" to me, although I don't know if it's actually something typically called.

It also followed the officials horrendous embellishment call against Point for the sin of showing pain after getting a hockey stick to the twig and berries. So, it evens out.

He had lost body positioning by a solid foot and a half. At minimum it was a hold. He was behind the guy and pulled him back with his free arm. That isn’t a legal play.

He won’t win the Conn Smythe because his team won’t win the Stanley Cup, but my vote would go to Joe Pavelski.

Is there any reason for me to think it's anything other than a salary dump where the Wings got an asset to take on a replacement-level player for a significant amount of their cap space next year? Yzerman said some very complimentary things about him, specifically mentioning Staal being a part of the penalty kill, but I don't have hopes he'll provide much.

I agree, Dsafe. Given his age, I would’ve thought there would’ve been greater demand for him from a team that viewed itself as more of the near-term Cup contender.

With the unknown regarding next season, it's always possible he can get flipped at the deadline for a modest pick, provided he's healthy and productive.

Goodrow should have gone harder after Pavelski there when Benn was going after Gourde. You could see the respect he still had for him.

Thought Point would get the Conn Smythe, but can’t fault choice of Hedman.

Yeah we got one since I’ve known you guys. And are far less insufferable. So your request is denied.

I will grant you the first two. After that just jack holes.
