Tony Romo for real said "You gotta almost hope it's a cramp" on that Dak injury.

Then the camera angle changed. And I said aloud "That's not a fucking cramp, Tony."

The live angle kind looked like a cramp. I guess Romo didn't want to say the obvious.

That was kind of funny. He makes no effort on the pass. Then, briefly considers going after the intercepting play. Then says, “I’m his lead blocker!”

who the fuck wants him? He cannot get open. Two years away from the field and now 32...he looks cooked as hell. And that comes from me seeing him in person last week when...he looked cooked as hell. First quarter, Burrow rolled right away from pressure (because, of course) and waved at a receiver, the play was coming at my seats in the north end zone, I had time to glance and see who he was waving at - it was Green - I saw Green plant to drive back and...nothing. No burst. Just, flat. The Burrow pass landed about two yards beyond where anyone would have assumed an NFL receiver would get to, up to and including AJ Green.

Prior to that, I had been assuming that he would bounce back at some point, but...not after I saw that live.

Green's average separation this year on routes is dead fucking last among all qualifying receivers. So...sure, trade him, if someone will give a pick somewhere in the back of the draft. But he's not helping anyone.

So, earlier today I realized that I didn't remember the Alex Smith injury at all. Naturally, I looked it up. Pretty gruesome. And then, I just saw Dak's injury, which was pretty similar. I think I'm good on sideways feet videos for a while.

So I'll hold off on recommending you check out former Arsenal striker Eduardo receiving a spikes to ankle tackle about 10 years ago.

Until yesterday, that may have been the last "bone bent wrong" thing I had seen. That shit freaks me out, and I am pretty good at avoiding other horrific injuries.

Saw Dak Prescott's live and it didn't seem bad for a second or two until they cut to the shot of his foot. Disturbing as hell.

But that Eduardo thing is the worst I have ever seen. Not saying that as a dare... just don't go near it.

I haven't seen Dak's injury yet, but the descriptions sound similar to Eduardo. The horrific injury that really affected me was Aaron Ramsey. Partly, it was grotesque, but I was (still am) a huge fan, and I thought we saw his career cut short at 19 years old. The announcers weren't able to keep it together, and kept saying "we are not going to show this to you." Seeing Ryan Shawcross, who was red carded for the tackle bawling like a baby and being comforted by his teammates was really gut wrenching, too. IIRC, it took a good 10 minutes to get Ramsey off the field.

Had a bit of a moment at my daughter's soccer practice on Thursday. They started to scrimmage about 10 minutes in, and combined the two teams on the field and moved them to a different section. Seemed weird, then another parent noticed a girl crumpled in a heap not moving and one coach taking a knee over her. Then we saw police cars coming. A coach leaving from an earlier practice came over and said he called 911 against the girl's parents wishes, because he saw the injury. Dislocated knee. Parents said it's happened before and they'd be there in 10 minutes, but this professional trainer said it was so disturbing to see, he couldn't leave the girl without medical attention. Trainers did a great job moving the kids away and keeping them busy. My daughter said a couple girls were freaked out because they saw it happen, but I think they kept most of them from actually seeing the injury. To that girl's credit, we saw her in the hotel on crutches, she traveled 3 hours and stayed over night to be with her team. I'm sticking with my theory that the it was past the cancellation period and they only went because they couldn't cancel the reservation.

Second half Herbert looking not at all like first half Herbert. As a conissouer of rookie QBs...let me tell you, the pressure will fucking do that to a rookie QB. And the second half the Saints have dialed that shit up.

Well, I think I did it. I got every major decision wrong this week in fantasy. I think all are fine on their own, but shit. Here they are in increasing levels of pain. Player points in our league in parentheses:

1. Played McLaurin (4.1) over Shenault (11.4) even though McL was going against Ramsey. Thought process being he’s been their only good offensive player all year, and still balled out against Ravens so will be fine. Nope, and QB carousel didn’t help.

2. Played McKinnon (1.5) over Mostert (13.4). With Mostert being a game day decision, elected to stick with McK who has been great the last two weeks but barely saw the field in this one. Also had Henderson Jr on the bench (20.3), but would have been unlikely to play him because he didn’t see his usual touches last week.

3. My QB is Josh Allen. Given uncertainty this week that his game would even occur, picked up Herbert so I could wait as long as possible to make a choice waiting on news from Tennessee. Well, I am 25.3 down with only my QB left to play and opponent finished Sunday night. And Herbert (26.8) would have been enough to win it. Now I look forward to Josh having his worst game of the year. What could also make things worse is my TE is Kittle (6.4) who is obviously a no brainer, but I also have Jonnu Smith on the bench. We have a number of side pools in our money league, and this week is important for TE points. Now I’m certain that Jonnu will score 20+ to complete the suffering.

Washington's offense is the dumbest I've seen in the NFL in the past, at least 5 years. Dumber than the Mike Shula Panthers. It makes Jason Garrett look like Mike Leach.
