I feel like if the Steelers can continue to hold Tennessee to 1 yard per quarter, they'll be in good shape.

So the Panthers...did they just try to do something that’s never been done in the NFL, just so they could be tied with New Orleans and Brees with 2 minutes left?

Another frustrating year for me, of course, but at the very least, there is no question about their QB now. Burrow is really, really good.

Bills game was so awful I spent a lot of time on the Redzone.

That play where Gurley accidentally scored a TD would have seemed inconsequential if it occurred against any team other than the Falcons. Unreal ending - that Golladay is fantastic.

And Baker Mayfield?! WTF was that?

Do you adjust for short week? The only thing I didn’t like about the Bills was short week + travel.

Of course, I gave a good look at Denver +21.5 in a teaser due to short week + travel + altitude. That would have been a bad idea.

No - at the moment I do not. At some point I'll have to get historical data on it to come up with a statistical impact of that.

I just read the Defector article on Chad Henne just now, who came into the KC-DEN game in garbage time and it got me thinking... If your QB goes out temporarily, say for an injury timeout or an equipment issue, I think bringing in the backup who then does a play-action deep throw would have the element of surprise. Figure that if they think it's only for a single play and they would probably just hand it off, that would seem like a perfect time to catch the defense napping.

that Henne story has a weird headline for a team that had to play a backup quarterback in multiple games in 2019

In a 180-degree turn, the knives have come out in the Chicago media. All the reporters who predicted the Bears to win last night have now come after Matt Nagy and the his offense. I don't know why, it's only the 24th time in 40 games with Nagy as head coach where the offense has failed to score 24 points.

Foles four starts: 107-for 163 (65.6%) for 951 yards (5.83 yds/att), 3 TD, 4 INT
Trubisky: 51-for-86 (59.3%) for 560 yards (6.51 yds/att), 6 TD, 3 INT

** (65.8% completion and 6.96 yds/att are league averages)

Foles' relief efforts in the comeback win get him closer to Trubisky, but Trubisky is around ten points higher in both the blunt tools of passer rating and QBR on the season. Trubisky also has the team's longest offensive play of the year - a 45-yard scramble.

The team has yet to have a game with Foles under center where they averaged three yards per carry. Running backs are 135 carries for 498 yards (3.69/att) with one TD. The team is 30th in yards per carry and dead last with 2 rush TD.

Big free agent acquisition Jimmy Graham leads the team with four TD's, one of which is more than three yards in length, is averaging 8.7 yards per reception, and is on pace to have 535 receiving yards. Their other big free agent signing, Robert Quinn, has one sack and one quarterback hit.

No QB of the future. Foles can opt out after the season. Mediocre offensive line with two good linemen, one of whom is lost for the season. Second-oldest roster in the league, including five "best" defensive players (Akiem Hicks, Robert Quinn, Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, and Kyle Fuller) age 28 or older.

Doing great, guys.
