So it sounds like one option is a quick impeachment by the House but the Senate might hold off on action?
I suppose if they’re not going to get 16-17 R votes by 1/20 to remove him, or after that to ban him, this is the way to go. Warnock and Ossoff won’t be in until 1/22 or 1/23 anyway.
There’s a pandemic on so maybe we need the Senate approving Biden’s nominees right away.

Yeah I read that given it would be post-term, the senate could convene a committee to review all evidence, etc - whereas if he were a current president it would need to be done before the entire senate body, halting all other activities.
