I'm not a Wings fan and that film got me emotional at the end. Really well done flick for any hockey fan.
Fair. And tonight a fairly historic rivalry resumes.

Playing for Paul Maurice is no picnic either. Jets got fleeced. I'm glad Laine is out of the West.

Also, I believe Laine does not need to quarantine going to Ohio, Dubois must quarantine until Feb 6.

If motivated (like he was in the playoffs),Dubois is really good.

He wanted a trade so he could play on a bigger stage, and he got sent to Winnipeg. Probably not what he had in mind.

His dad coaches for the Jets' AHL affiliate, which is also in WPG.

1. There weren’t any tweets until after last nights game. I fully believe it’s him because any normal person accused of being DeAngelo would have fun with it.

2. That’s the meanest trade in NHL history and I hope Dubois is mad enough he demands a trade to NY.

This interview with Laine between periods is pretty awesome...

Q: "What has Jack (Roslivic) told you about the city of Columbus since the trade?"

Laine: "That it's the best city in the world."

Q: "Columbus needs help scoring goals."

Laine: "They scored 3 goals in the first period, what are you talking about?"

He was rumored to be choice #1 down here to replace Rick Peckham, who just retired. I got the sense he was holding out for the main NBC gig. Maybe he was, but with last week's NBCSN news, that doesn't seem like the best spot anymore anyway.

Haven't had a chance to hear the new Bolts guy yet, as we've had so many games on NBCSN so far this season, and Sinclair is in a fucking dispute with YTTV and a few other carriers.

No coaching staff for the VGK tonight because COVID.

(Sort of. Kelly McCrimmon will be behind the bench tonight with the HSK AHL staff.)

If you consider a game in Glendale for VGK is at least as good as a home game (it is), then VGK are going to open the season with 17 straight home games.

It really is a perfect fit on both sides. Rangers badly need a top 4 lefty D and St. Louis could always use even more racists.

JFC.

Caps go down 3-0 in the first to the Isles.

5-3 after two. Caps win 6-3.

That shit was bonkers.

Since the original publishing of this story, multiple sources confirmed to Blueshirt Banter one incident that involved DeAngelo keeping the puck from Miller’s first NHL goal scored against the Buffalo Sabres on January 26.

Which is the best/worst outcome for the Rangers?
A) Having him be on your AHL team and negatively influence those players?
B) Having him on the taxi squad when you don't even want him on your team?
C) Releasing him and eating a big cap and cash hit?

Pretty sure A is not even an option at this point, so there's your answer as far as worst outcome.
