And then she had to rant about it publicly, after she's been rightfully attacked for openly saying she is going after Trump for her own political gain. She went on a rant calling it racist that the Right is attacking her for appointing a black man and not having an issue with the white man she appointed. No, it's not about race. You were fucking the black guy and not the white guy. But if she just appointed the guy she’s raw-dogging, he would by logic NOT be the best prosecutor in the county. That would seem better, right?

I get the defense is going after her for this in the hopes that a different, more TFG-friendly DA has to take over, but if anything, the guy she’s barebacking isn’t the guy you’d be most scared to go against.

IANAL (obviously) but to me it calls her ethics into question. Does nothing for the defendant except that she could get removed from the case if the ‘chief’ DA deems it appropriate.

Is there an issue about prosecutorial judgment? As in, the guy comes to realize the case is weak and shouldn’t be prosecuted, but his interest in keeping Willis happy causes him to pull his punches?

Though I suppose that dynamic applies to every prosecution. Every prosecutor wants to keep the boss happy.
