It was either this or watching The Bachelorette from 2010 with the wife and girls. I made the wrong choice.

It's not this bad, I just think something a little more fun would be good.

ETA: Like, how did we even come around to watching this again?

Not ideal, but still an enjoyable evening. Had fun with the thread. Thanks, guys.

And I'm sure I've learned something tonight, but I'll have to figure out what that is.

Might be my fault, but it came up somehow and then it came up again and then the thought was it might not even be viewable here before too long (which wouldn't be a loss of course).

I checked IMDb, and I read that Rae Dawn Chong sang one of the songs on the soundtrack. I was going to point it out, but then I never noticed it. Anyway, she sang one of the songs.

Let's do The Running Man next week. Seems like a good as time as any for a post-apocalyptic wasteland where corporations and a fascist state control all entertainment.

Years ago, I bought a couple of Fila t-shirts and Fila tennis shorts that I still own and wear a lot. They've been thru the wash 6-12 times per year for 20 years, and they're still holding up just fine. Strangely, these are the only Fila products I've ever bought.

I bought some Fila running socks at some point years ago (great deal on Woot!) and they pretty much sucked (too thin) and just sat around in one of my dresser drawers despite never wearing them because I never throw things away and I've actually been using them the past 3 weeks when using the stationary bike every day while it's still too snow-covered and icy to safely run.

Jumping channels and trying to avoid the news I came across what the summary described as a 1974 episode of the Dick Cavett show featuring Carol Burnett, Mark Linn Baker and Spike Lee. The year was enough to get me to stop (seems to actually be from late 1986) and I turned it on just as Lee was being introduced. 2:40 or so for the relevant discussion, but the lead up is fun, too.

bapo! wrote: Thu Feb 18, 2021 7:04 pm While we're waiting, and this seems on-topic, I'll mention that I read Rachel Dolezal's autobiography a few years ago. Remember her? It was...an experience. She sounded like a troubled person who had experienced trauma, and that was a place she went to in her head to escape or soothe herself. She also seemed to get herself involved in a lot of lawsuits.

Is that Rachel Dolezal?

About two weeks ago I got a call from a manager; one of her employees asked if her Only Fans account violated the Firm's outside employment policy. I told the manager to go through all the videos to make sure there is nothing with Firm branding present in any of the content. She told me to fuck off. I didn't want to know which employee asked, but I have a very good idea.

Way to dead-name her, dude.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
