Just smoke a ton of pot and it's pretty much the same thing. Or so I'm told...

I was expecting to be a little tender at this point (five days later), and there is nothing grotesque going on as far as swelling goes, but there is some pain I wasn't expecting. It just sort of feels like I strained a muscle, both in my abdomen leading up from down there, with the same sort of feeling in my groin. I'm going to call into the doctor in a couple of hours when the office opens.

I still had pain for about a week, but most of the later pain was at the incisions. It felt like my scrotum had bolts on the sides, a la Frankenstein's head.

I have one incision, right down the middle. It's been fine outside of some itching which I assume is, if anything, a good sign.

Don't sell yourself short. You've got tremendously grotesque going on.

Saturday was the first day since mine (the Thursday the prior week) that I wasn't aware of my balls all of the time. I think my issue was that I didn't take the advice of waiting 5-7 days to resume sexual activity. Using it before the recommended wait definitely set me back.

Feeling normal since Saturday.

I think you should be aware of your balls at all times...

The incision has been a little oozy since the end of last week (perhaps in no coincidence starting the day after we first gave it a go), so I went back to putting on band aids (and a little Neosporin) over the weekend. No pain, and it doesn't look infected, but this morning I was greeted with a bright red quarter sized stain in my underwear. I have a follow up scheduled with the doctor this afternoon anyway, but yikes.

Having my stitches ripped out yesterday is preferable to the whining I'm putting up with right now. Definitely made the right decision.

The doctor's office is telling me that any specimen that I produce needs to be delivered to them within an hour. Logistically, unless I knock one out at work before I head over there for my final check-up next week, I'm not sure how to make that work. Did you guys get similar instructions?

Yes, I had to do the same thing. And no, I won't go into detail about how I did it.

I have Friday afternoon off anyway (for my daughter's end of dance camp recital, nice), so I guess I can go home, jerk off and run the sample up to the doctor's office.

I ended up putting the sample cup in the smallish plastic bags I use for dog waste (double bagged, because who wants to see that).

Me: I have an appointment, and a specimen. I was told the specimen was sort of time sensitive, so I think I should give it to you now just in case it takes a while to see the doctor.

Receptionist: You have a specimen?

Me: Yes.

Receptionist: Urine?

Me: Noooo.....

Receptionist: Oh. Debbie, can you come help this patient?


The doc saw nothing in the sample, and patted himself on the back (and me on the balls). I'll need to bring in another sample after I knock out 10 more, and then I'm DTF.

Rass' post prompted me to call for the results. Mission accomplished. All in all, not a bad procedure. Some pain afterwards, but nothing too bad.

PS I’m having none of the dull flu-shot-like pain the doctor predicted and too much of the pinpoint incision pain that he was surprised I felt mid-procedure. The worst part by far was when the stitches started except he hadn’t told me yet so I pictured him pulling my tubes out like 3 feet up towards the ceiling.

Shocked there was no lasering - back when I was fixed (18 years ago) it was just being introduced.

That burning smell and the appearance of a thin wisp of smoke rising from my nads is something that I will NEVER forget.

Mine hurt during the procedure. Not just the shot.

That was many years ago and I still feel it on my left side.

I'd do it again. Not having to deal with contraception is AWESOME.
